False economy on Burl’s part. Credit card charges can add up, and stopping at the gas station each time you plan a 40-mile trip would be a bother (at least to me). Best to fill the tank up until the pump goes off automatically … that is the correct amount for the tank.

If you see a station with gas prices lower than others not too far away. Stop and buy anyway, even if you have over 2/3rds a tank.
