Come to think of it, when this convention of detectives first showed up, I naturally assumed it was all police detectives, sponsored by an official police organization. But the cameos we have seen included private eyes, etc. as well as police detectives such as Tracy and Wunbrow.

Okay, I’ll admit I don’t know Dethany. Maybe some of you younger ones can enlighten some of us older folks, I’m guessing she’s from an 80s of 90s cartoon show, maybe?

I have to wonder if Dethany and Rikki might be related. They look like they might be cousins.

Dethany is having a virtual cocktail while Tracy is having ginger ale.

So is this “Bethany in Virtu-Noir” the “Noir” case that Tracy was referring to in yesterday’s strip?

I guess Bonnie is not up to speed on how the system works (?) She’s dropped it right in Dad’s lap, although Tracy’s got no jurisdiction,Perhaps her ‘recall’ is of Gould’s Tracy, but there’s different ‘driver’ now . . .And Dad’s a little ‘older’ now more the ‘couch potato’ type, like he was in the Blackhearts case . . .Waiting for someone else to start the ‘activity’ ball rolling . . .Exclamations like - “EGADS !” no longer swiftly translates into ‘immediate’ Action

It’s time for the younger ones to ‘Shake a Leg’ . . . Me Tracy, I’m only here to ‘Shake Hands’ !

Bonnie’s ‘perspective’ DOES make me feel a tad better, particularly as her TEXT is written by Mike Curtis !

@tsull2121I am kind of embarrassed to admit I had never heard of Dethany either, until now. I must be getting out of touch; normally I am on top of these sort of things.

I’ve never up to now been a reader of On the Fasttrack or Safe Havens over on Comics Kingdom (or Kevin & Kell, for that matter), but I have run into Dethany Dendrobia on a casual basis in the past (don’t recall exactly when or how; maybe through the Christmas present for Honeymoon?). She is certainly an interesting character; I gather she has pretty much become the “star” of her main strip, in much the same way that Snoopy nearly took over Peanuts.In Tracy’s case, I would imagine the pace of the story will quicken once he gets back to Tracyville from this international detectives convention….

I’m also unfamiliar with Dethany, though I think I know where davidf42 was thinking about her being a character on a TV show, and I’ll ask AnyFace to help out if he may:

Dethany’s face, especially her eyes, reminds me of Lydia Deetz from “Beetlejuice”-the animated series that aired from 1989-1991.

Domain is the alternate world where Kevin and Kell live…where predator and prey species live and work side by side but always with a nervous eye over the shoulder (strict laws in Domain prevent a carnivore from attacking and eating a herbivore he knows personally, that is called murder…but strangers are fair game…and there are those who have rejected civilization and reside in the ’Wilds" where the rules of eat or be eaten are in full force.

Herd Thinners is the major company in that universe, their main specialty is ‘fresh meat’…and you guess what meat…Kell used to work for them, but she now runs her own company that is sponsored by rabbits (the deal is ‘we support you financially, as long as you dont hunt rabbits’)…

quite an interesting universe, actually…though if i were Dethany, i would be very careful…RL (CEO of Herd Thinners) tends to follow up mass firings and layoffs with meat specials…wouldnt want her on HIS dinner plate if he isnt pleased with her work….

I’m not sure that normal bank robberies are actually out of his jurisdiction — he stopped a bank robbery just a year ago (January 24-25) while visiting Westview for the comic book option.

Bonnie was right about one thing. He is working on the bank robbery case, though he might not know it yet. You and I know that the theft from the bank and the burglary at Mrs. Thorndike’s and the theft of Smith Enterprises’ glasses are all related, but Tracy doesn’t necessarily know that yet.

I’ve seen Dethnay in another comic strip. But, I’ve forgotten it’s name. But, I remember that she was a goth. She also had a black raven.
