    Is it any wonder he ignores you? Accept the fact that he’s at least willing to let you hang around and leave it at that.

    I hate to break it to you, Lucy, but that wasn’t sarcasm. Schroeder was telling you straight up that he wants no part of your romantic fantasies about your life together!

    You gotta take care when sending Valentine cards. You never know when somebody will take it the wrong way.

    Wow, that is like, the meanest thing he has said to her yet! I think the piano needs another toss up the tree!

    Close as he’s ever going to get is to say, “I tolerate your existence.”

    It’’s obvious that Lucy is drawn with a masochistic side as well as a sadistic side to her; 50 Shades of Lucy. (we didn’t think of it that way in the 50’s-60’s though, did we?)

    Schroeder did sent her a Valentine once. When she asked if it was alright to give it to someone that he at least tolerated. I was expecting that one today. Anyway, you gotta give credit to Lucy for never giving up, even though she must know by now he will never return the feeling.

    When Lucy says, “May I ask you why you didn’t send me a valentine this year?”, Linus should just say, “No!”

    This would put an end to it…

    There is exactly such a music school, Lucy: It’s named New York City (with satellite campuses in LA, Cicago, Memphis….)

    @Snoopy_FanHappy Valentine’s Day!

    Hope you liked my comment on Friday. I remember that some Fridays are busy for you so I understand. You can make it up to me by posting a pic of some bright red roses! LOL.

    I hope your weekend was fab.

    This is a throw-back to 1961. The in-continuity Sunday strip from 1969 would have been for February 16.http://www.gocomics.com/peanuts/1969/02/16

    Lucy is an interesting character. She’s pretty flat in the hateful way she treats nearly everyone, but the deepest part of her personality is how she is attracted to the one person who would otherwise completely ignore her existence – the one person who she can’t intimidate precisely because he doesn’t care anything for her. Poor Schroeder.

    But you do stand the sight of her Schroeder, or you would not let her touch your precious piano!
