That’s… actually a fairly decent point by Trudy. I mean, she’s still the one in the wrong here, I still side with Nate, but still.

And she still doesn’t understand what Nate has given up to be with her. He should have told her after the party.

I think @#audi asked that is because most girls prefer older guys because guys tend to mature slower than girls? But in this case, I think Nate’s a bit more mature, or well, understanding than Trudy is.

Allready pointed this out would be her situation earlier (and yes it can be documented :)). However Trudy also knows how Nate stands with that kind of snubbing others, even if its indirectly or unintentional – also stuff aside she ought to realise sitting with her boyfriend is more important than sitting with kids who act like jerks, and it would not hurt anything to sit with his friends – who is also part of his life, as such something she should be interested in. Finally Trudy got a technical point, however she makes it poorly, since she tries to rush getting friends in her class instead of getting getting to know people first.

i still remember the happiness reading the strip that they first kissed. kind of expected that it wont work, but it still stinks if this really happens…. :(

I have over 20 comics I read daily here. This has easily become my favorite. LP does a great job mixing in humor, interesting characters, with great story telling. I can’t wait for tomorrow already.

First of all, Trudy: you’re still new, but you’re not that new. Based on the party and the roller rink, you seem to fit in just fine.And if you’re saying “It makes no sense for me to spend time with sixth graders,” then why are you DATING one? Trudy’s arguments are easily shot down.

When is this argument taking place? On Monday, Trudy mentioned lunch hasn’t happened yet, so…shouldn’t Nate and Trudy be in class?

Well, “dumped” may be premature. But Trudy has some serious apologizing/behavior altering to do if the ’ship is to continue.

People can by definition not be freeloaders when something is free. Otherwise you would have to pay for the site to begin with. So what is sad is people who complain in such a manner when others may have reasons as to not be able to pay (such as not having a creditcard to do so, but I guess it is too hard to keep details like that in check).

The dumb thing here is that Trudy has been in this school for 6 & 1/2 months. She is not technically new.

Hmm… from Nate’s point of view, he is seemingly presented with a choice. Trudy Is not open to hanging out with 6th graders. While she says it is because she is still trying to find her footing with her grade, she obviously already has a reputation of being liked by the 7th grade (2.8.16 and 11.3.15 as examples). Unless she is oblivious to this attention and still feels insecure nonetheless? In my opinion, hanging out with one kid from the 6th grade is all that she could handle, and if she is that insecure, she most definitely thinks the rest of here 7th grade classmates would judge her for hanging out with more 6th graders than she already is (they probably would, 2.9.16), and she could lose the popularity she holds (which she might not even be aware of). Now from Nate’s point of view, leaving the friends he has always known (literally 25 years) is the only way he can stay with Trudy, his girlfriend he has known for less than a year. The right choice for him is loyalty. A respectable decision, but the right one? I think so, his friends were more accepting than Trudy.
