Circulation figures aside, we had a boy in our class at school who went exactly as the cartoon figure above does, when ever he tried to speak or answer a teacher’s question. We all knew about it and waited patiently for the end. He usually got there eventually and the words came out like a the bursting of a hosepipe. I have no idea what happened to him when he left school, but I have often wondered.

Honestly – some of the crash and burns have been funner than a lot of the strips around them.
