I think we are probably at the end of Act 1, but this is not indicated yet on my preliminary beat sheet which can be seen at http://dt.canadatoyou.com/nottafallarmove/.
We are on Day 18. We’ve had 7 days from the perspective of Notta, Blaze, and Putty Puss (with particular emphasis on Putty Puss), including a day from unwitting collaborator, Wendy Wichel. We’ve also had 7 days from the perspective of Tracy and he seeks to clear his name. It looks like Sam will have to head up the investigation while Tracy is off the force.
The other 4 days involve Matty Squared, Mr. Bribery, and Ygor Glitch. I don’t see any clear link with either Notta Fallar’s smear campaign or Tracy’s efforts to combat it, so I’m classifying it as an “aside” for now. I expect that Bribery’s goal will become clear later (after Notta fails, as she inevitably will). Whenever Bribery can become the focal point again, he will hit the ground running after these preparations.
I don’t post very often but felt compelled to after reading today’s “Tracy’s Hall of Fame.”I really like this strip but question the selection of individuals profiled in the first panel. This is the second time this month a person connected with the Pinkerton National Detective Agency has been spotlighted. Maybe the writer needs to do a little research into the history of this organization, which can be done by simply reading this Wikipedia article:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinkerton_(detective_agency)The Pinkertons were basically a bunch of thugs hired by 19th Century robber barons to bust unions and attack striking workers. They have no place in a “Hall of Fame.”In the future please be a little more conscientious in the selection of your subject matter.
Always a lot going on in Tracyville. I like the overlap and interplay between story arcs. I like the eschewing of formula. I appreciate the variety of threads: Notta’s naughty smear campaign, Bribery and Matty Squared, and Warbucks teaming Tracy with the Asp. Warbucks’ comment that he may need Tracy’s help later this year on “a special matter I can’t go into right now,” has me most intrigued. Special matters matter, especially when they involve something audacious. There was never any doubt that Tess would not doubt her man. As Willy007 reminds us with outstanding panels, a little give and take is essential. Tess is a good character at play and at work. Dead eye, Dick? One of the slugs they took out of Mumbles was from Tess’s gun.
Thanks to Vista Bill, cpalmeresq, Willy007, Ray Toler, Gweedo, Neil Wick and JPuzzleWhiz for the kind words. Very much appreciated!
If anyone is interested, I have designed the set for the production of The House of Blue Leaves which opens next Tuesday (April 26th) at Raven Theatre in Chicago.
Here is a link to my Facebook album showing my design renderings, how the actual set looks, and some photos of the actors:

I would encourage some of my Chicago friends on this board not to miss this hilarious show.
So, what kind of work is Tracy going to do for Warbucks? Probably something to do with security or investigation. Actually Diet Smith could use someone to re-structure his security system because it’s been broken into so much lately. Like when Bardoll got to the Space Coupe and the Blackhearts kidnapping Diet from his bed and The Fifth stealing Thor’s Hammer. For someone so worried about his products falling into criminal hands, you’d think Diet would make security a priority.
The Home Team is solid for Tracy, and with Tracy’s new acquisition, the Asp, the team should go far this season.Woo hoo! Notta and Putty Puss, goin’ down!Capisce?

Wonderfully poignant, as always, Pequod! Thank you.
Willy007—good eye on the “give and take” banter, and a subtle trick by Team Tracy in the Putty Puss/Notta exchange, with Notta responding “taken.”
Just as Tracy is faithful to Tess, Notta may be a baddie, but is faithful to her late hubby, it seems.
(of course, it could mean faithful to someone else…Blaze?)

Quite a view at the MCU, coffee mugs now bottoms up
Lizz has seen that face for years, java splashes from her cup.
To see this side of Tracy both disturbing and revealing
Mercy, there he goes again, with gusto and deep feeling.
Sam would choke on his toothpick if only he could swallow
Lizz backs into the hallway, Chief Patton soon to follow.
The Mayor she reads the riot act, a suspension so unfair
Later she’ll replay the tape to survey that derrière.
Notta in the video wears a smile, not a dress
Tracy smells a dirty rat, he would never cheat on Tess.
Tess who is a true heart, a loyal loving wife
Does not deserve this circus, embarrassment and strife
Tracy home from his long day, so disgusted he could bust
Tess calmly reminds him that the man she loves she trusts.
