Oooh I think I get it ā€“ Judge Hiatt is strict on drunk driving and Barry Bader values personal goals over team success. Iā€™m glad they keep repeating these concepts over and over for dummies like me.

Just how is Del Bader getting to all these games with no drivers license? Or did they not suspend it?

You legal folks out there ā€” why were Bader and his lawyer in court? A preliminary hearing, like in Perry Mason? If he was there to enter a plea, we sure didnā€™t see it. Or in DUI cases, do judges go over the evidence, then issue a sentence later?

Starfish, I get on here early on as Iā€™m in Europe and the new strip comes up at about 8AM (for me here). Iā€™ve been reading Gil since my dad retired in ā€˜66 and we moved back to Louisville, where my momā€™s family is from.

I concur with Gilfan. Sentencing is swift and decisive in our world. P2- What the counselor means is Delbert needs to pay another visit to the money train. P3- Ohhhh, how I miss the days of Lucky Haskins ripping dribblers through the infield, baby toddlers as big as 1st graders, smart aleck privileged 2nd basemen. Harrumph, Harrumph!

I think using the term ā€œDrunk Drivingā€ is politically incorrect.

Lawyer should first ask for a change of venue based on judicial bias. If that fails, preserve the issue for appeal and ask for discovery: 1) all purchase and maintenance records of the breathalyzer used on Bader; 2) the complete personnel file of the officer who stopped him; and 3) the dashboard camera film. Then attack the chain of custody of the film.

Judge Hiatt maintains a veneer of incorruptability by throwing the book at offenders, but is in cahoots with local lawyers to stretch DUI cases out for days in exchange for a cut of the padded billings. Knox Foley will blow the cover of this one. There will be FBI raids and a shootout in the most exciting Gil Thorp episode in years.

Remember this strip deals with ā€œcurrent and relevant issues that teenagers deal withā€ ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦. or something like that.

The man with the package in P1 certainly isnā€™t shy about showing off his own. Maybe he thinks he can get ( Iā€™d say get his clients off, but Iā€™ll save that for Mop Man.) his clients acquitted by impressing Judge Hiatt.

Young Master Bader is the only player on the team that doesnā€™t need to use pine tar on his bat.

In P1, just how is lower-torso man able to hold all those files with only his fingertips? Maybe he has all of Delā€™s paperwork related to this case, and since it is about to go flying all over Central City, case dismissed! And speaking of dismissed, donā€™t you dare dismiss todayā€™s Mopped Up Thorp.

Crap. I thought ā€œHang ā€™em Hiattā€ was literal and weā€™d see a good old fashioned hanging of Mr. Bader.

I just talked to one of my brothers who informed me it was ā€œCasino Royaleā€ and after listening to it I think heā€™s right.
