I remember fabric stores. I went to one and asked to see ecru thread and proceeded to measure the diameter with a micrometer. They were totally confused until I explained I was repairing a ship model at the maritime museum and that is what’s used for the running rigging. They took it calmly on repeat visits.

If Obama could get the Nobel Peace Prize for doing nothing, why can’t Earl get a Pulitzer for poetry?

Must be your luck. I always got along better with my wive’s families than I did some of my own relatives.Even after divorces, they remained friendly with me – even if the ex’s didn’t.
