That looks like a telecommunications satellite in the upper right hand corner, so it’s not the ‘coupe that ended up drawn into Jupiter’s gravity field …
… or if it is, it was during an earlier point in its existence.
Putting Neil’s new search engine to the test, I was able to locate some of my comments regarding how the Space Coupe and the “Project Blue Image” data might tie into the strip’s 100th Anniversary Story.
From yesterday…. Thank you Neil for pointing out where to find the confirmation. It was a shock that Apollo lives and Venus is really dead. It turned out that the people I thought were dead are the ones alive.
You’re welcome. I’m not surprised that Venus is really dead. That melodramatic death scene really looked like a confirmed death to me. Apollo, on the other hand, I thought might have been lying dead on the floor but there really wasn’t anything more than flimsy circumstantial evidence that led me to that conclusion.
Maybe the Space Coupe is being shown today because there have been a number of space related events associated around the 4th of July holiday over the years.
The Fosdick crossover was fun, but this is even better! I hope this is a hint and preview of coming attractions and they’re not just playing with us. A return of the space coupes and moon people would be the.best.thing.ever.
Cheers on the Fourth of July! While the day’s scene is an interlude, one wonders if it may also have deliberate purpose, as a kind of hint of Things to Come….

Now the boys are just taunting us.

Thematically though …
It does give me a halfway decent reason to share this.

Boy, that spacecraft hasn’t run out of fuel yet? I wonder how the two Docs and Munro brother are doing? Have they turned into cannibals by now?

Barring Lunarian intervention, the hijacked coupe is hopelessly Lost In Space.

Does that mean we are going to see the space coupe sometime in the future?

Hey, now…..is this a tie-in, or a hat-tip to the Juno Mission that arrives at Jupiter today? Maybe the mission team will find the Space Coupe!
AnyFace over 8 years ago
Holy crap, I think that might be the Juno probe in the upper right hand corner of today’s strip!
Good catch, blune!

The space coupe must have two doors. I mean, if it had four doors, wouldn’t it be a space sedan?

And before Space Precinct was Star Cops. Which I like very much but hard to find the 8 episodes.____________________
Those ran on PBS up here – I think – though the only episode I recall at all was one called “Intelligent Listening for Beginners.”

Here’s the “Star Cops” Episode Guide, if anyone’s interested.

Not actually the “Complete” series as billed, but a few episodes, for those who’d like to check it out.
