Who doesn’t likes that Disney Land song? (Scar of “The Lion King” for one.)

So, instead of a strange act with Bernice, Luann will end up teaching Shannon a dance routine and joining in that duo. Luann and Shannon dancing. Who woulda thunk?

I hate that song. Besides, it’s a w dizzy tune. The first time I saw w dizzy on TV in the 1950’s it was hate at first sight. He looked and sounded exactly like my mean alcoholic uncle ben.

That song can drive one insane. It plays in the Magic Castle in the Magic Kingdom in a continuous loop for hours and hours, and days, and weeks, and months, and years. I imagine the Mouse leering over everyone who has to listen to it. Of course Shannon loves it as only a little kid could.

I still say they should turn A Small World into a Laser Tag shooting range. The manikins being the targets. Has nothing to do with race but annoyance.

So much for Jonah’s cover story, that he and his guitar were doing a duet with Shannon. Clearly, that’s not what Shannon is telling us!Pru, do your duty. Shannon’s “act” is not up to snuff. Scratch her from the call-backs….

It occurs to me that if Shannon knows that insane melody it very likely she would have gone to Disney World, or Disney Land. That would mean some adult(s) would have taken her. Could Jonah have? I suppose you could hear it in other venues, but EVERYONE, in any of the Disney parks anywhere in the world, who went in the Magic Kingdom park, and the Magic Castle has heard, and is trying to forget that tune (which is impossible).

I think Shannon’s “dance” can be performed equally well without the guitar accompaniment, so she really doesn’t need Jonah’s participation. Also, even though her “dance” consists basically of just flopping around, it’s still better than Luann and Bernice’s act.

5So, with Shannon’s dance routine, what will happen?1) Will Luann teach her a bit of choreography…. and potentially do an act with her (I personally think Luann could do the act with Bernice AND another with Shannon)? In this scenario, however, the new question would become…. can Luann dance? I do not really know. But for some reason, I immediately imagined Luann dancing like Elaine from “Seinfeld”. 2) Will Shannon perhaps get Toni & Brad to participate in the “Follies”? Thus far, those two have not been involved in this arc, so perhaps it is a way for the three of them to have some “family” time and to get Brad and & Toni both into the arc. This seems a more likely avenue than Luann being Shannon’s partner.

I worked at disneyland throughout my college years in the early 60’s. During one stint I took tickets (or 10 cents cash) at the 20,000 leagues movie exhibit. I had to listen to Kirk Douglas singing “I have a whale of a tale to tell you” eight hours a day for about two weeks. I still know the words.

As a teen i went to the World’s Fair twice. One time was with friends through the school and was wonderful, with us all permitted to split up as desired as long as we caught the train back in time, which we did. The other time was with parents and my several years younger sister. That trip was almost a total bust, and one of the worst parts was my sister and parents’ joint addiction to the Small World ride which was appallingly horrid, truly ditzy, and repetitive, and on which i was expected to join in, because how could an unaccompanied teen possibly be safe for a few minutes on her own? Gack!

Yes, Dog, if memory serves despite serious lack of sleep last night, to indirectly help the wild ferret species, Black Footed Ferrets which are much closer to Steepe Polecats than to domestic ferrets. It is to vaccinate prairie dogs to maintain a sufficient and safe prey base. Two of thr bigger threats after loss of habitat are Canine Distemper getting into BFFs, and diseases like plague or others killing off the prairie dogs.Thank you!

good point about Tiff, tho one wonders if she’d have Shannon shaking her little booty a bit too much for such a show.

I’m so disappointed in Jonah. I’d hoped he had rehearsed with Shannon and taught her some dance steps. Obviously not. Poor Shannon— you dance like I used to in private, knowing full well I looked like a fool.

I suspect the lack of actual choreography is yet another way of illustrating that Jonah was uninvolved. Even if he was letting her create it herself he still would have told her to pace herself. When younger Shannon had many little kid mispronunciations. I recall reading something – i guess months ago – either indicating that she is now about 6, or simply a commentor saying that at some point. Sorry, but i do not recall which of those it was but i know it was before one or two commentors said that recently, so maybe one of them will remember.

I don’t think Greg will kill Jonah off, but quite likely Jonah will soon win a role in a play that’s on the road somewhere, and that will require him to leave town and never return.

think of the storyline possibilities if Jonah is no more … as only living relative, Toni would naturally become Shannon’s guardian. Then there’s a whole additional dynamic … does Toni have qualms about obligating Brad into the additional responsibility that wasn’t part of the original deal? How does Brad react to the prospect of jumping into a ready-made family? Greg said there will be drama relating to their wedding … perhaps this is it.
