Well here’s some snappy dialogue. I guess Gil decided to withhold his “team play” decision from Mimi until the last minute, only to blurt it out when she’s talking to the guy at the sign-up desk. I’d forgotten how happy and carefree life was pre-9/11.
In all reality , the 2 guys standing behind Gil in Bitsy’s P 1 are checking Mimi’ s asset out and the guy running the sign up has his disguise on so he can rob Milford Savings and Loan .
Tod Andrews should be incensed at his catcher in P2, out of position, taking a squat. Didn’t know blossoming golfer Steve Boone also umpired. Whenever the chips are down (sorry Chip), Oakwood is the perfect foil.
Aren’t the seniors from Oakwood ineligible now, since they already graduated at the end of May? Milford apparently just forgot that school was supposed to let out for the summer then.
Barry could have told that guy in P3 that if you’re going to catch a ball between your legs, you have to keep your hands in the right place at all times. It just takes a lot of practice.
Is it possible that the Milford School Board voted for year-round school, and we just missed the note they sent home in our kid’s bookbag?? WTF?? It’s July 21 already.
P2 – Holy cow, you guys are right. That batters box is 8 feet long. And someone tell the Oakwood catcher it is okay to move out of his crouch after the ball is hit. And speaking of tell, tell your friends that today’s Mopped Up Thorp is online.I do feel like giving credit to the artist today. Despite the weirdness of P2, P1 and P3 have some nice artwork. Except for the novelty mini-hat the Oakwood player has.
