Person No. 1: “What was this whole story line about again?”

Person No. 2: “Boo Radley was killed by a drunk driver.”

    Person No. 1: “Boo who?”

Person No. 2: “Don’t cry, it’s finally finished!”

Just in time for the DAMN NEW YEAR to start..And … buh bye, Tru(e). However much the writers are spinning their wheels, you were an engaging character. Enjoy being a redshirt freshman at WF.

Wonder if Tru forgot about his commitment to Wake Forrest, much less commencement, memorial to Boo or the fact that his summer break will last 3 days assuming the that MILFord HS must have missed the playdowns! All should come togather at the Jumbo bonfire tonight at the Quickie-Mart!

In old cowboys westerns, the hero would walk off into the sunset at the end of the movie. In Milford, a lone shadowed figure takes that hallowed walk to the showers to indicate the end of a story line.

Oh yeah… Forgot to mention Gil & Mimi’s one morning jog, followed up by a couple of Harvey Wallbangers on the deck assesing the strengths and weakness’s of the football team.

No Milford CC, check. No Kaz & Kelly biker roadtrip, check check. No new Summer season characters. With a Fist Pump family member walking in thru the out door, a logical conclusion has been submitted. Fire up the blender Pedro.

Where’s the title character in all this? I’m assuming he’ll take the credit for inspiring Tru(e) to be a leader on the baseball team as well, then have a one panel wrap up with Mimi at some point next week.

Not so much as a “thank you for your support”? What an ingrate — but then, he IS Master Bader, so….

School has started again in Texas and some other states. I guess Tru(e) didn’t graduate and Wake Forest withdrew it scholarship offer. I don’t think 5th year seniors can play high school, can they?

Just how many stairways are there in this school? Barry comes down one staircase, talks to the guys, then heads up another just a few feet away. What kind of labyrinth is this? So is this the end finally, with Barry walking into the sunset doorway of oblivion? Is tomorrow a transition, “As summer ends, a strange figure arrives in Milford…” or something like that? Or another week of dragging it on? And speaking of dragging, drag your cursor over the following link and read today’s Mopped Up Thorp.

Day 139: Our potential rescue was marred by yet another case of EES. Our spirits remain high that this arc is nearing its end despite the messy cleanup.

“What’s important is that we get it.” We get what? That you shouldn’t be mad at the son for what the father did? That you should support your teammates at all times? That Bader is a little a-hole and always will be? I like that one.Now that I think about it, tomorrow won’t be a transition. Don’t they still have to have Tru(e)‘s awesome Boo memorial idea? They have to do something, right? After having him trying to figure out what to do with his dad? They wouldn’t just forget to follow up on it. Actually, it’s possible they would. I say it’s 50-50 they do something with it.

The Trul(e)y frightening part is we still have 2 more years of Young Master Bader to go.Assuming this year ever ends. Will he try out as the new QB when and if Tru(e) finally escapes to Wake Forest? Only a week to go ’til their opener.

Big Ken Brown really wants to make it all happen to Young Master Bader.

The big winner in this storyline was Boo. She got to check out months ago.

Is Gil going way beyond what most coaches would do in the “understanding” department? Bader’s on the team, he skips a game, he stays away three days, now he’s put himself back on the team. Most coaches I knew wouldn’t tolerate that.

I don’t want to guess at what Barry flicked off his hand in P2, but apparently it hit Big Ken Brown in the eye.
