Poncho just walk away and go to the cafƩ. You are at the back of the line and those two pea-brains will never notice that you are gone. This way you can tell the other dogs of your great escape from the cat search :-)

Wonderful, even though the long-suffering Joel sure has to put up with a helluva lot of stuff. I feel his pain.

Donā€™t they have anything better to do? The cat is probably fineā€¦..where ever it is.

You better hope no other dog comes up and smells your butt, Poncho, they will know who you are.

    To clarify -

A petard was a bomb or explosive device, used to force access to a castle or fortified position. Thus, ā€œHoist by oneā€™s own petardā€ means blown up by oneā€™s own bomb, or more generally, as in this case, injured by oneā€™s own cleverness.

    Youā€™re welcome.

ā€˜PĆ©tardā€™ means ā€˜fireworkā€™ in French. If I didnā€™t speak French, I would never have understood this comment! Had no idea it was an English word too ā€¦

Shakespeare is the only reason English-speakers know the word at all.
