Honeymoon already knew about the seedy and criminal side of life. It is the bigotry that is new with a keen edge to injure.

Tracy knew the time had come

For Honeymoon to learn life’s not always fun

There are always those who live by fear

Ruining the lives of those far and near

Hopefully she’ll learn to handle the pain

Resulting from being called a deplorable name

He prayed that he’d live long enough to see

A world in which people could live and let be

Good morning all. I’ve spent a lot of time today reading about and trying different commenting systems. I will have something ready to test soon.

Honeymoon is lucky to have her grandfather to turn to for advice. He’s pretty wise.

I wonder how this story line is going to play out? Maybe through some strange twist, Honeymoon comes to the defense of Bellowthon using her special powers?

    .

I would rather a scenario in which Bellowthon actually gets to know Honeymoon personally and starts to care enough for her that she sees her own prejudice for what it is. (I’m dreaming.)

    .

It is true, though. Get to know someone for who they are and colour (or other differences) washes out.

“Dick honey, something doesn’t feel right about this!”

Tess’ s words still rung in Tracy’s brain as he walked towards the diner he agreed to meet Matty at.

“Tess is right as always, this is insane!” he sighed as he entered the diner.

“Who would have imagined as recently as 5 years ago that I would ever agree to talk with this idol obsessed, destructive hanger on”! He chuckled as he realized how low things had become here at home.

His concern that he wouldn’t recognize Matty quickly faded away as he immediately saw everyone staring at the man wearing his pink Dick Tracy underwear outside his pants!

“Good to know some things never change, unlike Tracyville!”

    TBC

    PEACE

This really hits home with me. About her age, I too was feeling different than most around me. But I didn’t have a Pop-pop to help me though this time. I had to go at it alone, and in a conservative environment where people knew their neighbors it wasn’t easy. I know how Honeymoon feels and I can’t tell her it’s going to get easier.

Many people are slime, but there’s also good people too, you just have to find them.

We’re living in very dark times, perhaps on the brink of a cultural precipice.

    .

Be wary of those who preach hate and intolerance, and those who would curtail our individual rights as citizens, because as we’ve seen here in microcosm, once taken away they can be damn hard to get back.

    .

“Those who would exchange freedom for security deserve neither”

The Price of Doing Business …?

    .

Under U.S. Law, corporations have the same rights as an individual, yet none of the underlying moral compunctions.

    .

As artificial constructs whose stated directive is to earn as much money as they can, there’s a definite “Frankenstein-run-amok” aspect to their existence.

    .

    Just sayin’.

Good for you, Pop Pop! Take the walk, talk the talk, and do whatever it takes to make Bellowthon see the light and change from “congressthing” to “representative”; and take down that preening thug, Selfy, too!

    Hey there, everybody.

While I unfortunately cannot be described as the dashingly handsome Barry Gibb circa 1977, I can be (and am often) described as Aaron Weber, the GoComics product manager. Whether that is similarly unfortunate I’ll leave for you to decide.

I do want everyone to have a chance to voice their opinion on the comment changes, so in order for me to stay on top your questions and feedback, I’m asking you to voice your opinion in the comments of the blog post you’ve seen linked herebouts. I’m including it below as well for ease of use. (I don’t get notifications of replies here, so using the link below would be best)

I know the recent changes have been frustrating (and disappointing) to many, and I’d like everyone to know that we’re listening to your feedback, and working on some changes to bring some some requested features.

In Ye Olden Days, I’d have accompanied that with a pic of Maria Santos-Grey’s wedding dress from ALL MY CHILDREN, circa 1994.

    .

Aw, heck, just go look for yourselves …

In real life, Maria Santos-Grey was portrayed by actress Eva LaRue, who’s been married three times, and is currently single.

    .

Somehow, I never seem to be properly positioned to take advantage of such opportunities.

I’d met Eva LaRue – briefly – at a fan event years ago: She was still married to husband #2, and apparently the seams were beginning to show in their relationship. (… though that wasn’t public knowledge at the time.)

    .

Her character had recently returned to the “All My Children” canvas after several years (… amnesiac, of course!) having been presumed dead when the chunk of downed airplane fuselage Maria had become entrapped in rolled off of one of New Jersey’s non-existent “cliffs” towards certain doom, a scenario crafted entirely in-studio.

    .

The way these fan events are staged, there’s not always much opportunity for face-time with the cast, but I made it a point to ask her to try to get the producers to air the crash footage again in flashback, as it had been nothing short of spectacular.

    .

    Judge for yourself …

One of the little things which made that particular episode stand out for me at the time …

    .

In those days, during the last segment of the show, there would be a a final voice-over by a member of the cast extolling us to “Stay tuned for scenes from the next All My Children!”

    .

Well, whether by accident or design, the voice-over was omitted on that fateful day, as the plane rolled off the phantom cliff …

    .

… as if to say, “That’s right! This time, there will be no tomorrow!”
