Mysta speaks for what is right. Bellowthon, she points and sneers

Campaign coffers looking thin, the slush fund in arrears.

Time to spew some fierce contempt, so sure to draw a crowd

Facts don’t enter into it, if one is rich and loud.

To judge her game. She has no shame. Mysta sets her straight

She shall protect Imoto-Chan from slander, lies and hate.

Bellowthon sees an enemy. Mysta sees a threat

To her dear friend, Honeymoon. A sin she shan’t forget.

So THAT’S it. Bellow wants to build a huge wall around the planet! (And she’ll make the Lunarians pay for it.)

And Honeymoon is a US citizen, since her father is one. Place of birth doesn’t matter.

    Nice one Pequod.

What’s the cap as to the number of characters in a post? Was it 300? or 500? if it is 300, then the cap seems to be off as Pequod’s post is 441 characters long.

For those wanting to post graphics, videos, or links to discuss this story, I have provided a page at http://worldofdt.info/selfy where you can do it. More information is on that page. If there gets to be a large number of comments, I may break it up into several pages, but there is only that one page for now.

Arguing that Honeymoon isn’t a U.S. citizen would be difficult, given that one of her birth parents definitely is a U.S. citizen, unless one made the assertion that there’s a difference between being born in another nation and being born at the midpoint between Earth and the Moon – technically, Off-Planet.

    .

It’s a slippery slope, but I’ve seen less defensible positions prosecuted.

    Slightly off-topic …

    .

Forgot to mention that I went to see Batman: Return of The Caped Crusaders during its one day theatrical release by Fathom Events on Monday. It featured the voices of Adam West, Burt Ward, and Julie Newmar.

    .

Burt sounded exactly the same as he did fifty years ago.

    .

Adam sounded … well … a little put out, but part of that was story-dictated, I think.

    .

They’ve already announced a sequel, with special guest-villain William Shatner as Two-Face.

TBH Mysta IS right, she was born on earth, in the US, and altered to look and act Lunarian, and Honeymoon WAS born to an Earth Father. (Father Junior, wit’ da diocese…)

As is true in real life, things are rarely completely black and white. Mysta did use her powers in a vigilante manner a couple of times. What’s worse, we know that she zapped Sparkle for personal reasons, although I don’t think anybody other than her knows that in the narrative.

Honeymoon’s father is Jr. Tracy. That fact should be enough to shut Bellowthon down on that point.

Bellowthon needs to double check the laws. As the daughter of Junior Tracy, who was married to Moon Maid at the time Honeymoon Tracy was born, Honeymoon, is a 100% legal citizen of the United States

What the hey? Honeymoon is the child of an American citizen, “Junior” Tracy. And it would not have surprised me if Chester Gould had done a strip in which Moon Maid receives U.S. Citizenship. And even if she didn’t, Moon Maid would have become a citizen by virtue of marrying Junior. The only grounds for calling Honeymoon an “Illegal Alien” would be if she were born in space rather than on Earth, and even then she would still have citizenship through her parents.

And as for Mysta’s vigilante activities, isn’t that a matter for the local DA to pursue?

While I have always liked Honeymoon, I never cared much for Mysta. Always too quick to anger and lash out with her superhuman powers at those who displease her.

Just imagine for a moment that an alien appeared who could kill and destroy with the point of a finger and used that power at their whim. Wouldn’t it concern you just a bit??

PQ, good poem! Bellowthon (in typical politician style) is focusing on something far less urgent, instead of taking notice of her bag man, Selfy, who is profiting quite well. She needs to direct her attention there. She might get better results.

Some people see Trump, others see liberal fascists. I see neither. Bellowthon is just a typical Washington politician, a self-aggrandizing phony and oligarchist who’s looking to get rich and gain fame at the expense of others. There are plenty of people like that on both sides of the aisle these days.

I like seeing Mysta speak out in defense of Honeymoon. On October 19, 2013, we saw the Lunarians at Mysta Tracy’s grave. I suspect the timing of their visit was not coincidental, as her DNA had recently become active. We know little of Lunarian physiology, but I find the possibilities quite intriguing. If the Lunarians are in possession of a Space Coupe, they could travel far is a short time. The location of their “home base” would be somewhat irrelevant. I would argue that current research and exploration in space is more exciting than the impressive lunar landing of 1969, even though it does not elicit the same fervor. I’m curious as to what a meeting between the Lunarians and Mysta Chimera might mean for our protective heroine.

Finally, credit where it is due. While I am not happy with the recent changes (why does the posting of pictures have to be an “all or nothing” policy?), I see that a share option has been added. I like this addition. While not much of a facebook user, myself, the ability to share favorite strips could be a good way to turn more people on to the exemplary work of Team Tracy.

Thanks to Willy 007, Ray Toler, Night-Gaunt49, 22ph, Neil Wick, Vista Bill, JPuzzlerWhiz, Chris Sherlock, Morrow, Chris Colvard and Frank for the kind words. Very much appreciated!

It would sadly appear that Messrs Staton and Curtis have thrown their hats in the ring with the leftwing propagandists who incredulously think it somehow unAmerican to secure our boarders! Pity, I always thought Dick Tracy stood for law and order and American values. See you all when this panel returns hopefully to its senses. Bye.
