Odd that Gunther and Bernice are not included, but Ox and Les are. Apparently, they’re really seen by others as simply Luann’s friends, and not Brad and Toni’s. I assume they won’t be invited to the wedding, either.
Well I would have to go with the colorful shirt team. I can hardly garden, let alone fight fires with all that hair. I think Shannon is walking softly and carrying a big stick.
Ruh – Oh! Toni’s got that “Deer in the Headlights,” look. Not Good. On a Lighter Note, a whole box full of chocolate covered ice cream bars to the Kid if she POUNDS Les’s Thumb with that Mallet…..,
weddings are an anachronism that only exist to put young people in the poorhouse trying to impress people who don’t really care and should not get a vote.
In the words of that Great American Philosopher, John Wayne, “A man’s gotta do, what a man’s gotta do.” Jonah had finally been placed in a position where he cannot depend on Toni, and must do the right thing. After all, what can he do with the kid, except stay and work. Stay and work is a package deal.
OT, but it will startle. I read a short quote of historian David McCullough who was approached by a sophomore after giving lecture. The student had never before realized or been taught that the 13 original colonies were all in the East.
BTW, some of the moving around was me, but the comments page also is doing big jumps back and forth when scrolling today, so if people miss comments… It is being a skittery bunny.
Glad the fire team 1) has no little girls on it and 2)had more training than the BAT. On the other hand, looking at the categories of work, shouldn’t the “Catering” assignments be left to TJ and Emily?
.
And I sure hope nothing happens to Brad or Toni (BOT). But I opined it might back last spring, I think— saying one of them might have to be wheeled to the altar. A big THANK YOU to all the fire fighters and police officers serving lawfully and faithfully for protecting us.
On nasa.gov RIGHT NOW the next weather satellite is about to go up. It is sorely needed and was one of the first essentials Obama pursued. It even relates to the story since these tools can even help spot some wildfires.
I’m going out on a limb to predict that someone on the crew will be killed, but not Toni or Brad. Yet one of them (Toni or Brad) might suffer injury i.e. smoke inhalation. By now we know, at least by face, some of the crew members. If one is lost, the crew will definitely mourn and that would affect the tone of the wedding.
OK, so we have a wedding in about three weeks. We also have a bride and groom (currently MIA), a wedding dress, maid of honor, and best man/wedding planner. So, we must assume that the wedding planner, TJ, is handling everything from guest list to ceremony presider. How neat and tidy. Our wedding took a mountain of time and planning. This shindig is just one step above one of those little, white, street corner chapels with the Elvis impersonator reading the vows. Eloping would have been more romantic.

Again, why in the heck is Les there? He isn’t a friend of Brad and Toni’s.

They wouldn’t kill off one of Toni or Brad right before the wedding would they? That would just be cruel and unusual.

As a crew, they may not have a lot of experience with this type of fire. That would justify a possible loss.
