Hey, put a limping tight end on the field and let the opposition forget her…and she sprints past them for a bomb. This story line reminds us, again, that the writers don’t know much about football.
In all reality , have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone ! Take some time today to give thanks for your blessings and pray that our country begins to heal itself .I give thanks to all my fellow posters whose snarky comments provide a bright spot in my day.
I miss the Thorp family Thanksgiving message myself. Of course now that the kids have to work at the sweatshop on holidays it’s just not the same. Everybody have a good one just the anyway.
Heather checks out knowing all of those “smart coaches” have no clue how to counter the blitz. And speaking of blitz, Marty is enjoying his Thanksgiving meal in the booth with a heapin’ helping of Wild Turkey 101.
P-1: “Put your arm around me and hold me tight.” P-2: Heather’s reply -Uh, Mr. Scott, my ankle is down here? P-3: see P-2, the conversation continues (Mr. Scott now channels Lt. Drummond and says “Quite impressive.”
Hmmmmm…..where do I remember this tactic from? Oh yeah, True faked an ankle injury 2 years ago with Milford comfortably ahead so Jarrod “Give ’em” Hale could take a few snaps. Heather, I knew True Standish and you Missy are no True Standish.
Sheesh, so she’s doing this because when she’s on the field for her 5 plays the other team blitzes and ruins the passing play? So this is how she gets it to stop? After all that crap with her pointing out the problem on tape they did absolutely no adjustment? I guess we’ll see what happens tomorrow, if she’s blowing some grand plan of Gil’s. But even if that’s the case, wouldn’t Gil have MENTIONED TO THE TEAM that they are going to pretend not to adjust early in the game?
And speaking of adjusting, don’t adjust your picture, today’s Mopped Up Thorp will come in just fine if you go to this link: https://moppedupthorp.wordpress.com/
Final Jeopardy today: In 1525 Spanish New World official Gonzalo Fernandez de Oviedo wrote, “The flesh of these peacocks is very good”. And no, the answer wasn’t “Who is my dead brother Jaybird?”

Now she’s faking an injury for the good of the team? Why on earth does Gil keep playing her?

“They wouldn’t have put up with faking an injury back when I was playing outside linebacker at Starfleet Academy!”

Theoretically she could be faking to keep herself out of the game for the good of the team.

@Bitsy – Carnac says “What is a bombing run, Schubert’s 8th Symphony, and a competition for Marty and Gil”. Hiyooo
