When my older daughter was in preschool she had a teacher who was deathly afraid of thunderstorms. My daughter, on the other hand, isn’t (she actually loves them). Whenever there was a storm the teacher would seek out my daughter as a calming influence…THEN she was able to calm the other children.
think about how shallow our civilization is. Without electricity the entire system(civilization) falls apart. God help us if we had a massive solar storm, or an EMP set off hundred miles over the central US. That would wipe out everything except people power. Getting food both off the farm and to the cities would be a true show of leadership as it would take a truly massive effort
If the EMP was powerful enough it could like an H-bomb going off in low orbit, worse if it had been designed to produce the maximum EMP effect could do it. Turn us into a “Dark Angel” kind of scenario.
