My mother did that one Christmas with a croquet set, that we found hidden in the basement the next Summer.

Or just put it under the tree.

He should’ve just saved it for this Christmas. Then it would look like he bought her 2 gifts instead of just one.

My house is pretty small so I hide gifts in the closet and have some things sitting around my bedroom. The trick is to use black trash bags and shipping boxes. When something ships to my home, I open the box, look at the item(s) and reseal the box. No one is devious enough to do the same.

We never hide gifts. We wrap them and put them under the tree to enjoy looking at for a couple of weeks.

One of life’s occasional little treasures.

Did that once….found it about Easter.

I do that all too often – for as long as we’ve been married. Except I just give it for this new event.
