I get my milk straight from the farm. Half gallon Ball glass jars with cream at the top. The dairy farmer keeps milk and eggs in a fridge and everything is on an honor system. Living in the country does have its advantages.
I may have been the first to kayak surf the Atlantic, but that is one white water I avoid.

Len Norris, of the Vancouver Sun, had some great editorial cartoons against milk in three liter bags. It may have been coincidence, but I think the whole bag idea was a plot against metrication.

Guernsey is a slight bit richer than the more common Jersey.
I only drink whole milk, 2% is drinkable in a pinch. 1% has no taste to it, might just as well pour tap water over my cereal & skim milk looks like grey dish water.
I drank a lot of milk as a kid, but lactose intolerance kicked in when I was in my late teens. Now, I keep a quart of 1% lactose-free around for the occasional recipe. Mostly, I drink water.
I grew up on raw milk with ALL the cream in it. As an adult, I could drink what is called Whole milk, but half&half is closer to what milk should taste like. Now we get raw milk from a dairy & I like it a lot better than the conventional milk at a grocery store, but they do take enough of the cream off that half&half is still closer to what real milk should taste like.

I’m still sticking with 2% milk myself.

I’m not even touching the 2% milk until they tell me what the other 98% is.

I grew up on a small dairy. We always took the cream off the milk. So to me, milk needs to be skim or fat free to taste right.

1% doesn’t even change the colour of my coffee!

Wall street all over again, protesting against the 1%.

I prefer whole myself

Whole milk or no milk. Who wants to drink white water?

I like 1% myself…. glad we can get 1% lactose free in the big 4L bags now. :)

2% milk doesn’t taste any different than whole milk to me. 1% I can taste some difference, but I’ll still drink it. Skim is too watery, yuk.

My doctor once asked me what kind of milk I drink, and I told him “Jersey”.
Funny look.
“How do you know that?”
I finally had to explain to him that we get farm milk, not store milk.

I use 1% in my a.m. oatmeal before exercise. Same protein, fewer calories. 2% otherwise; for the calories and taste. If anyone cares.

Nothing wrong with 1%. I prefer it to skim, though at home skim is all we have. So if I’m able to get 1%, I consider it a real treat!

Condensed milk is disgusting. Real cow’s milk (I drink the blue top or green top) is the best.

The whole low-fat/non-fat “health” industry is a scam. Just drink real (whole) milk. It’s good food.
