Because of Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) the Iditarod has had to be moved further north away from the original route taken so many years ago. Now it just doesn’t snow as much and gets too warm for snow to stay on the ground as it did in the earlier years.

    .

In 2015, due to lack of snow, the race had to be re-routed. The race started in Fairbanks, Alaska, and continued to Nenana (60 miles (97 km)), Manley Hot Springs (90 miles (140 km)), Tanana (66 miles (106 km)), Ruby (119 miles (192 km)), Galena (50 miles (80 km)), Husila (82 miles (132 km)), Koyukuk (86 miles (138 km)) before joining up with the normal trail at Nulato for the rest of the race.12Wikipedia

Well, it has been my experiance that Starbucks is for people who don’t actually like coffee. Those cream and sugar confections certainly aren’t ‘coffee’, and a straight shot is a sad over-roasted mess.

The best coffee is the one you make yourself to your own requirements. On the odd occasions that I’m dragged into a coffee establishment, I ask for an ordinary coffee, ….“and don’t mess about with it!”

I’ve had one overpriced starbucks cup of just coffee, which someone insisted I take.I don’t mind paying a lot for something worthwhile, but coffee beans over roasted to make them stretch is not something I will pay for, much less pay tioo much for.

Funny cartoon. Bourdain commented in one of his books that the genius of starbucks was that they figured out people wanted to overpay for coffee, and given their success I would agree with him.

Thank you nrhawk and Night-Gaunt49 for your comments yesterday – you are correct. The term “ignorant savage” was applied to Crazy Horse by white culturally ignorant people. Perhaps I should have put “ignorant savage” in quotes or something.

I believe Crazy Horse was one of the best generals in the history of North America.

Starbucks? Sure, it right down the trail. You can’t miss it; it’s right next to the Starbucks, and directly across the trail from another Starbucks.

I used to go to a starbucks in a book store and get just a cup of coffee and a side of ice cubes in a cup and get some incredulous looks from the barrista. I would then put one or two chips of ice into the coffee to dilute it down so it was drinkable.
