That fellow must be working through the special deal the Plutocrats made with the IRS so they won’t be bothered anymore. However if you or I try it we will get crushed.

Or you can do it like Trump and write off money that other people donated to your foundation.

Tax season and all across the country guys are circumventing the laws against cross-dressing in public by standing on street corners dressed as Lady Liberty (there used to be just as many dressed as Uncle Sam, but I haven’t seen one of those in about a decade).

Ah, tax season! One of my wife’s clients told her to “deduct the maximum for charitable donations” with no documentation of any kind. Company policy is “no docs, no deduction”. They’ll accept a letter for any amount as long as it is signed by the client, that puts the fraud on the client.

I was married to a tax accountant for about 20 years. The happiest time of the year ( for me ) was tax season !

Wiley is an obvious liberal but occasionally he hits the nail on the head. This one is perfect.

@firebrand1 — reference on that 85% overhead number. I’m more than 85% sure you made that up.

non-profits throw fundraisers where they get to meet celebrities. it is common – to the extent they can get a celebrity generous to donate their time – so, I don’t see what the problem is in using the Clinton’s celebrity to raise money for their charity.

now please educate me on how, in your warped world view, the Clinton Foundation is horrible while the Trump Foundation is above board.

I have a big envelope in the bottom drawer in he kitchen – I put the receipts in there as I get them during the year. Keeps me for having to search at the end of the year.

I have a tax folder for all that pesky documentation. I used to always do my own taxes until a few years ago but gave up when I couldn’t get the same solution after three tries. Doing taxes has become a cottage industry where, like attorneys, the only one coming out ahead are the form pushers. $300 to do my taxes. Help me obi-wan kenobi, you’re my only hope!!
