Our bench when I was in school was the bottom row of the bleachers. There wasn’t room for a row of chairs between that and the out of bounds line.

BKB to Mike in P2, But do we have to talk about it now? Those ants on your face just make me want to smack them off.

Gil unleashes The Flying Fickle Finger Of Fate but still leaves the lethargic A Quad in the game. Maybe Mrs. A Quad just showed up?

Yeah ours was the bleachers too. I don’t recall ever seeing a high school bb bench use chairs.

Since BKB and Granger have known Flock of Seagulls since 5th grade, are they Junior class too? P1- Crime scene in Milford gym with multiple chalk lines? P3- A common demand from GilPa when hot water is in short supply.

Must be “Filler Friday”. How many days is it going to take BKB & Mike to talk to Aaron “Big Baad Bird” Aagard?

Dang it, Gil, three players were just transported to the mothership by the aliens, and you only substituted two!

P-1: R&W are suspended from Go Comics for Racism after going to the low of using blackface. P-2: Even BKB is getting tired of dragging this out. P-3: adopted from Bye Bye Birdie, Gil breaks out into “I’ve gotta lotta Coaching to do”.

I never had a coach who put players into the game without first having them sit right next to him while he gave instructions about what he was looking for.

I don’t want to read too much into it (although reading too much into things is what we’re all about here, isn’t it?), but why does Gil call BKB by his first name and the other three players by their last names?

You’ve clearly put too much thought into this.

Readers from New England may recognize that Gil in P3 looks very much like the spokesman for the law offices of Mark E. Salamone.

Why are they sitting in chairs watching a race? Did track season start early? And speaking of early, it’s not too early to read today’s Mopped Up Thorp.

Today Granger has morphed into “The Beaver” in panel two.

Panel one reminds me of the old Benny Hill skit where the black man in the white suit is debating with the white guy in the black suit on a B/W TV. The TV ‘buzzes’ and the screen keeps reversing so you know what happens! It was hilarious but probably not “PC” enough today to air.

I think they draw those silhouettes to be as confusing as possible. You can look at this two ways, and in one of them, they’re sitting with their backs to the court. That was my first impression. Sort of like the old “What do you see, a vase or two profiles.”
