People train for years and try to make a living doing home repairs. Why deprive them of their reward (payment for work well done)? Penny wise and pound foolish…..
I’ve had one or two occasions where an expert did a worse job on something than I had done in a similar circumstance, as an “amateur”. But I don’t necessarily always feel like doing all of my home fix-it work anyway, if I can afford to hire someone.
