@ENIGMAFOREVER: I’m thinking that the next arc is Bernice watching Piro leave, and his destination turns out to be Tiffany’s suite…

Tiffany, Tiffany, I think the point of this arc is a potential relationship between Piro and Bernice. I am not sure Tiffany is interested in a romantic relationship, just a friendly one. I admit I could be 100% wrong, but that is my gut feeling where this is going. It looks like she wants to kiss him, but it remains to be seen if that will happen, or if he leaves. Spending this time on Bernice and Piro directly leads me to predict it will be her and him more than Tiffany and him. Time will tell.

This one raises a few questions:

1. Does Bernice realize that as a homeless person, Piro does not really have a curfew?

2. Why hasn’t Dez returned yet from her class if it’s midnight?

3. Why is it that of all the snacks Bernie brought out on the snack tray, the only item that appears to be completely consumed is the stack of Matzos?

4. Professor Roth only gave 21 lectures? At 3 a week, that would be just 7 weeks. This school must run on a very shortened semester system.

5. Is Piro’s wrist strength so poor that Bernice has to put both her hands on Piro’s arm in order for him to show her the time on his cell phone?

6. How many lessons will Bernice have to cover before she realizes that Piro has not been taking any notes?

7. How long will it take Piro to figure out that Bernice is not going to let him go until he sleeps with her?

Bernice is applying her best body language. Piro is not going for it. We still don’t know if Piro is not attracted – or if he has a secret priority somewhere.

Piro sure seems to be leery of Bernice’s continued attention. He probably doesn’t want a relationship with her. Is he gay, or is there some other reason?

Piro the pumpkin. Piro’s got another clandestine rendezvous to attend.

Bernice is hanging on with both hands, Piro still hasn’t even removed his coat or scarf and must already have some other place to crash for the night because he definitely wants out. What, or who is waiting for him? My opinion: no chemistry here, Piro is too secretive and creepy. Time to move on. (not likely because its only Monday).

The poor bloke is tired. Time to go and get some rest. Where’s Luann? I thought this is a comic strip about her life? I’ll take what comes. I hope Luann makes it back into the story line.

Curfew from where? Does he even have a dorm room?

What’s the big deal? He’s already had a sleepover with B once. This B&P theme has drug on so long. I’m betting something BIG is in the offing. I’m betting transgender. That would explain who/what the mysterious doctor is/does. :o)

I was hoping for an epiphany on Bernice’s part. Not so much.

When Dez left, she said she had a class in three hours. Now it’s midnight? And how could Piro miss the eyes Bern is giving him? Bern should come right out and ask why he seems to be avoiding her advances. Or are young adults just not that forward?

Bernice is an emotional moron. Piro is off to make sweet love to Tiffany.

So… is Bernice purposely stalling to keep him longer, by rolling out the prof’s complete history of lectures? Or is it that some habits are hard to break for her (the need to be thoroughly through, in a thoroughly thorough way)?….

Either way, I guess Piro is a patient person….

@SALLYMARGARET: Even though Bernice has been involved with at least two other guys that I am aware of, she seems (like Gunther) to be most comfortable when she is kind of teaching someone something, rather than being personal and asking personal questions. Either she honestly doesn’t know how to ‘just talk’, or she really thinks that the best way to a man’s heart is through his brain…

I’m glad this arc has continued and I still hope these two get together.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Tiffany is not interested in Piro. She likes Gunther. So much so that she is running interference to keep Piro and Bernice apart because Gunther likes Bernice.

Five more days in this week, and precedent says that it’s unlikely that the Evenses will just drop this storyline mid-week. Either it will take Piro five more days to extricate himself from Bern, or she will spend the last three or for (or five?) days talking with one or more people about how she feels.

I got nuthin’ today, unfortunately, but I am curious how this will play out the rest of the week. Will Tiff catch him in Bernice’s room, or leaving Bernice’s room? Will we learn ANYTHING more about this mysterious starry-headed, stubble-faced guy? Why hasn’t Bernice asked him about himself? WHERE oh where is this all leading? Does Piro actually have a curfew for real or is it a dorm thing and if so, why is the curfew at midnight since most places have 24-hour visitation hours now? Ohhhhhh, this is just the tip of the iceberg. So many possibilities, so few panels per day.

I like the expressions on Piro’s face (today). In the past (e.g. last year), he would always have this deadpan look… like he was somewhere else; he never seemed engaged with anyone. He mentioned that he like silence (that was all we knew and still it is all we know now). I think his needs (on a survival level) were/are just too great for him to be able to pay attention to anything else. Today he seems more human (he got food and that helped) and it’s like he’s connecting with Bernice.

I think that this bomb of an arc has a very, very, long wick. Kinda’ dull.

get the hint, hes not interested, next arc already….

Oh she’s got it bad

Sorry, Bernice. Piro just is not into you. He only wanted someplace to sit and stay warm. He put up with listening to your notes just to be comfortable and secure for a few hours. You are so inexperienced with guys that you failed to realize that. Now that you’ve yabbered for hours, he grew weary of the sound of your voice and decided it was time to move on. Don’t be surprised if he moseys over to Tiffany’s. He knows he does not have to keep company with Tiff – she can take care of that all by herself. He knows he can just doze off. Perhaps in the morning, Tiff will slip him a few bills for breakfast and he’ll just hit the road. I don’t think Piro is interested in people – just his education and the next meal and place to sleep. Yes, he is a user, and people let him.

it’s sad how some have such a dark view on people in general. Will they have an epiphany of their own when things go differently? probably not, but one hopes.

another option: is piro a religion student who has no interest in women?

Piro just isn’t into Bern at all. Maybe he’s going to be a priest. That would explain a lot. Or he’s gay. Or he’s in a relationship with somebody else. Or he’s just asexual and just not into other people, male or female. Maybe he’s just tired, dang it!
