Last April 1st gag (on GC the 8th) was also a C&H crossover. I think I can tell that it’s not actually Watterson this time, though it’s a very good copy.
I can count on one hand in 70 years the occasions that I laughed this hard at a comic strip and could’nt stop chuckling for 5 minutes. Bravo, and Yes, ROFL. (Blam!)
Coming soon to a comic book store near you: Spencer & Locke; Locke’s a grown-up, now, a detective whose (also ‘grown up’) imaginary (!) cat advises on cases at hand… https://graphicpolicy.com/2017/04/09/preview-spencer-locke-1/

Really? Bill Watterson comes out of retirement to help out?

Something about Calvin’s expression in the second panel makes me think of The Riddler.

Hobbes must be bored with Opus by now.

I thought I was reading a Calvin and Hobbes strip with Bill and Opus making a guess appearance. It’s nice seeing a new Calvin and Hobbes strip.

Rat from “Pearls” would probably sell Pig to Calvin (and for much less than a thousand bucks!)

Easy money for Opus and the Sinister Force behind him.
It’s hard to believe Calvin would be so gullible. Maybe Breathed is holding Watterson hostage? Shouldn’t somebody from the Comic Cops investigate?

Fantastic, as others have said. I loved the part about the mindless beast. Best comic I’ve seen in a long while.

I wonder how Hobbes feels about getting a hug from a penguin.
