This story came without any context beyond,Pigs are dying off, killed or suicide, Why?The wolves at 1st were provoking trouble to one pig.The wolves feel singled out as scapegoats for pig disappearance.1. It seems the wolves are at least a little aggressive.2. The pigs keep disappearing.3. The wolves have become a group or an angry mob.4. The police have had trouble getting the wolves to stand down.So if the questions are who is most at fault? and Why are the pigs disappearing? Where are the other citizens stand on the issue or they just ignoring it all?
Even though I am liking the current storyline less and less, I am still amazed by Aaron’s artistic ability to express characters’ emotions and actions. If only he would give us a clue what the heck is really going on.
@ ThreestepsoverJapan, re “be patient or be somewhere else”: DouglasDao has a good point. This story has been going on since November, but we still know next to nothing about what’s going on. As far as other residents knowing or not knowing what’s going on, one very good candidate might be Portia: She’s the only one who received those phone calls and is still alive. Her flashback might be far more revealing than Walt’s was. Bottom line: All we know is there’s a pretty big fight going on, and none of us has the slightest idea why.
Great comments. Love the comments. Do people who can afford who are Patreons Know more than the rest of us?I live below poverty, and gave for a while, but at too low a level to find out anything.I would love it if some Patreons would share some past info, I guess it would not be fair to tell anything current, who probably have some insight about say why we don’t have Wally and Kirby or the losing soles, insights about Holly, anything?
I’m just rereading the entire opus again – it stuck me, suddenly, that if this were to ever become an animated film, then Aaron teamed with Ralph Bakshi would be the duo to do one hell of a job on it.
Wow, nothing bad has happened to the Canines yet, but the comments are heavily against anyone standing up to them. Sounds like our society is bleeding into Endtown. The wolves we know by reading the strip, have done the following: Harassed a pig, got pepper sprayed and beaten up for their trouble, Insulted another pig and was thrown out of a store for her trouble, Trashed said store, Assaulted a goat officer throwing him thru a windshield, Broke into the same store and is now attempting to assault the store owner. Now the possible things we don’t know who committed are: Someone is encouraging pigs to kill themselves, Pig bodies are disappearing, Someone attacked the store owner with a hammer and the silhouette appears to be canine, and Someone is terrorising the town with howling noises at night. Now if the wolf chasing the cow gets a knife in his belly or blown away with a gun, sorry that is self defense. And to say that stick is harmless is total self delusionment. I bet though that the wolves are not behind this, they are just arrogant A-holes.
The rabbit is probably mayor-and not just a figurehead like Walt was. The running council has also been broken. If the rabbit is inciting the wolves(and protecting them), then as this escalates he’d have an excuse to push for full control of Endtown. This could mean enforcing martial law, using the rats-which were for outside security before (the cops shown here are for general law enforcement).

@ Pam Miner and DouglasDao: I agree with you both. Good, even great artwork but, when it comes to the story, the storytelling is weak!

Patience. Patience. Let it slowly build. Remember that there are only 3 installments a week. Good things take time.

Remember, you’re reading a graphic novel, not a daily joke strip.

Would seem, at the very least, not all the wolves are innocent.
