Big Margie is very short. Middle Margie peers over the roof of the car, but Big Margie couldn’t do that if she tried.

This is a hypothesis in need of testing. Might as well.

Aren’t Dick and Sam a bit too conspicuous for shadowing?

Green suit and derby; does anyone else think Sam resembles the Riddler – or maybe a leprechaun?

I’m sure shadowing is a good idea; the only thing is wouldn’t driving around in a marked squad car tip the Margies off?

A request of Team Tracy: A fitting end to this arc! A last visit of Svengoolie, with him being pelted by rubber chickens! Maybe someone else in this cast of characters meeting the same fowl end!

It could be done the same way Vitamin Flintheart broke the fourth wall during the Moon Maid exposition…

Hey, I read the Hardy Boys’ Detective Handbook back in 1959! I know you need four agents to maintain a reliable tail.

Wouldn’t Sam be actually “shadowing” instead of just “practicing” it in this case?

My father practiced Architecture from the day he was granted license until he retired. To shadow criminals is a part of Sam’s profession, although one he is seldom called upon to use. He is practicing his profession and has a badge that grants him the ability to do so.

I wonder if Big Margie has blocks on her pedals, or maybe specially-installed All Hand Controls? She is indeed very short—surely under 5 feet tall (that’s the visual part of the irony of her nickname, folks)! But the experienced Chief of Detectives is right to elect to tail the two Margies. This could lead to all kinds of interesting story-twists!
