Why is it blurred?

I suspect the scramble is on purpose so we won’t know what ‘they’ came up with. In other words – Berkeley couldn’t come up with one either and he’s hiding that fact.

So that’s what happened to The Rump’s brain — he drank too much of his own wine!

All we are meant to discern of the anagram from here is “Le turd …….. pup”.

The scrambled image was probably unintentional since the original was fine. Opus: Yech! No! Won’t somebody help me solve this anagram! Milo: Here! Hmm, if this is true that it was intentionally blurred then 1) it does not make sense and 2) this is worrisome as on commenter pointed out.

Was this meant as a shout out to the old kids show H.R. Puff n’ Stuff and its Witchy Poo character? Must admit that I start singing that theme song whenever I see HR MacMasters try to defend Trump’s latest tweet storms.

No reasonable person would believe the glitch was intentionally meant to politically favor Hillary.

Ergo, some seriously construed-up commenters.

Maybe some of the commenters who saw it blurred also were drinking a bit too much of Trump’s swill, because it’s not blurred at all for me.

Who is seeing what blurred? It looks, to me, just like it did on Facebook a week ago. CoComics doesn’t archive all that gets posted on the Facebook page, so those that don’t go there are going to miss things. There is a strip that Facebook refused to upload (for some unknown reason) that was finally uploaded later out of sequence, but it never showed up here at all. If you don’t visit the Facebook page you are missing out on a lot, including some wonderful commentary. This strip was the result of an anagram contest there, where the contestants could be a bit liberal with their letters to come up with something.

Bill wins. Ack ack ack! Hillary loses. Hack hack hack!

P.S. I see no blurrings at about 10:45 AM local time; whether there had been any earlier, I cannot say….

There was a glitch with the image file yesterday (looked like really lossy JPEG compression on the bottom half). It’s fixed now. Nothing sinister going on there, just a computer glitch which has been fixed…

Of course nothing sinister. I doubt a computer glitch, though, unless AI has progressed to a point of “political correctness”. I expect someone was having a bit of fun at the readers’ expense, a way of getting tongues wagging.

I feel bad about being a week late with this, but this day was the 30th anniversary of Opus & Lola.

Nobody here has said it, but isn’t the anagram solution based on the Harry Potter books?
