I was going to say something, but then I remembered, I promised to keep C&H a politics free-zone.
And how much money do you have Calvin?
Very timely reproduction.
I think we may be learning that Calvin’s strategy is not entirely effective.
And when that cartoon was drawn, Paris Hilton was still a toddler… if she was born at all
If you have fame, you can get people to give you money.
If you have power, you can take money from them.
Hobbes still has the greatest eye roll in comic history.
Calvin? Or Little Donnie-Boy?
Yup. That’s how most of them perceive happiness…
Happy Birthday Bill Watterson!
What about love?
I don’t normally inject politics into the comic strips, but Calvin’s description fits a certain POTUS to a “T”.
Oh Calvin; you have SOOO MUCH to learn.
But with fame and money, there is always a price to pay especially when you crush people and tigers.
The funny thing is that Bill grew up to have fame, money, and love. (See these for a couple days should demonstrate the last.)
Happy Birthday, Bill ! ! I hope you have something to do today that’s so engaging you don’t get to read this until tomorrow.
Didn’t Calvin just describe the Kardashians? Talk about prophetic.
Look at the hair…we may be seeing the Donald in his childhood.

Why does my “subscribed-to comics” hotbar have Garfield’s face plastered on all of the icons? Is anyone else having that problem?
“Absolute power corrupts absolutely” British politician Lord Acton
Money talks, but it doesn’t listen well…
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RINGO!!! Peace and Love
Without injecting any comment on current politics, I might observe that the sign of a classic work is its ability to offer timeless commentary.
Ironically, I just read a Cree ‘Indian’ proverb, ’’Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and he last fish has been caught will we realize that we cannot eat money. Cree Indian Proverb
I’d say good health and peace of mind are important for happiness. Certainly not being famous.
Sorry but I agree with Calvin. Money DOES buy happiness and it DOES buy health. Try being happy without money, I dare you.
