What colors does Blackjack need? Maybe that will solve the problem :)

I think we went over 100 comments yesterday for the first time in a little while and it was essentially for a “filler” strip that didn’t advance the story all that much. You never know when a busy conversation will happen.

I hope everyone had a safe 4th of July unlike the person down the road from Sisyphos who suffered a serious hand injury from fireworks.

I assume the FBI is handling this investigation. And they have a rather clear psych profile of Black Jack.

Tracy’s got a real “Bromance” going on with Blackjack! LOL!

He seems singularly unconcerned about a family member being in the hands of a nutty bank robber.

and once AGAIN Tracy decides to just sit around when a Federal Criminal ‘abducts’ his daughter-in-law.

I’m kinda thinking that somehow, somewhere the infamous POD PEOPLE from Invasion of the Body Snatchers have landed and taken over Mike Curtis, because there are SO MANY THINGS WRONG with this storyarc that it isn’t even funny!

Not for nothing, but I hope to GOD that mayor Armstrong and Wendy Wichel catch wind of this somehow

How many times is Tracy gonna turn a blind eye to Blackjack’s crimes and let him skate?!?

This is far beyond ridiculous!

Sparkle was not abducted. She went with BJ of her own free will in order to stop him from robbing the bank. Tracy is well aware of Blackjack’s admiration. He know BJ will not harm him or his family. Neither he nor Sparkle know her location, and she has said she will soon be released unharmed. Tracy is being calm and professional. He saw what Sparkle did to Measles. Blackjack is wise to be a fawning fan of Sparkle. Getting on her bad side is not smart.

GWEEDO! I can do that but I also don’t want to become annoying. So far 6 have contributed and 1 has excused himself. I’m greatful for all 7. I take everyone else’s silence as either indifference, unwillingness, or unableness. Perhaps Fiddler is paying the price for being mine!

I wish I could help but I am pinching pennies as it is. All I can give is good wishes.

If it wasn’t Tracy doing this, I would be afraid this was Churchhill all over again.

Tracy speaks words of wisdom, based on decades of experience with all sorts of baddies, from the most savagely bloodthirsty to the dementedly dangerous. Blackjack, he correctly assesses, is no threat to Sparkle, at least as long as there are no serious provocations (which wouldn’t come from Sparkle but might from some overly gung-ho cop). Give it time. Sparkle will be all right, and in the Long Run, karma will deal Blackjack his correct cards….

Didn’t the fan in that Stephen King novel idolize the writer she kidnapped? How well did that turn out for everyone?
