The funniest part of this ‘toon to me is that Brad has never been able to fix his own car. It’s usually Toni who ends up doing that…

I did a lot of work on my Maverick over the years but I replaced that with a Dodge Omni and there was nothing I could do with it. One couldn’t use regular mechanics’ tool on the thing. Everything needed a ‘technician’. Fortunately the motor ran well but the simple stuff broke all the time. I forget how many door latches broke off in my hands or window cranks that ceased to function. That was truly a “throwaway car.”

Aside from replacing spark plugs, there is not much you can do in a tune – up in a newer car. The trick is, finding the spark plugs. Also, most all of the newer cars will go about 100,000 miles before they have to be changed.

Many Cherokee Native Americans look white as all get out….blonde hair, blue eyes, very white skin and features, but it’s thanks to the Vikings long ago. Still very Native American, but you go to the Rez in Missouri, and you’ll think there was a mistake somehow.

It has been decades since a car has been made that needs a “tune-up.” In fact, nearly all the old tune-up parts no longer exist in new cars. Now all we have to do is follow the maintenance schedule and a car will last 200-300 thousand miles.

So basically the same type setup as with Toni & Nancy and the toilet paper, this time from the guy’s side.

Cars work better nowadays, most of them. If you have a Ford Explorer, get a CO detector for it ASAP!! I am not trolling, I am not kidding. Cop cars in Houston, cops passing out! Tested and lethal levels of CO!!

YOU, are absolutely RIGHT, Brad! “Car-Tuning” SHOULD be left to the EXPERTS at the Dealership!!

Cars haven’t been serviceable by back yard mechanics since at least the mid 1980s. If you want to tinker, guys, buy an antique.

Kind of odd to say “better in the end for both of you”. There are better ways to mislead the reader and Toni.

Tuning up a car – even a somewhat newer one – MAY have been part of the problem in the first place. Perhaps Frank thought he could do it old school style, and was sadly disappointed. We’ll never know for sure.

I thought of the Ren and Stimpy ‘surprise music’ from Ren’s embarrassing bathing scene at the end of Panel 3. Duh – duh – DUHHHHHHH!

Hey remember when the most we saw of Brad was the top of his butt as he was bending over HIS car’s engine compartment back when he was in high school? Now he gives such a sophisticated, mature, intelligent bit of advice to his dad, freaking out poor Toni. Now there is growth, and he has the BABE as well. Gives hope to us all (lol).

There is a good chance that Shannon has gone home. Maybe.
