Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Thatâs the world today. Itâs getting to the point where youâd offend someone by simply saying âhelloâ, and if you donât, theyâll still be offended.
Did Rat steal the hat from the Comics censor? Oh wait, Iâve offended him! Which one, Iâm not sure, but SOMEONE will be offended! Come to think of it, Iâm gonna go for broke! TRUMP IS A RUSSIAN SPY, A PERVERT WHO WANTS TO SLEEP WITH HIS OWN DAUGHTER, AND A THIEF!! So there!!
I thought the word âappleâ was the Native American equivalent of calling a black person an âoreoâ â i.e. white on the inside (not a compliment).
Such a sad statement of our world today. Too many people are looking for an excuse to be offended while too many people are taking too much pleasure in offending. The world is certainly circling the bowl.
The latest example of this from Canada is the offence taken by Indigenous activists to a Star Trek and Borg fanâs ASIMIL8 license plate. The province took away his license plate based on two complaints, and now the case is going to court.
Of course it would be ridiculous to claim âapples are redâ is racist code for Native Americans. On the other hand, âredskinâ, for instance, is not merely code but an actual racist term, like âwhiteyâ. My point being that while there are a few people who do take offense at things for no good reason, that doesnât mean all objections to particular uses of language are illegitimate. Also, many of those who, like Rat, mock others for being easily offended are themselves easily offended by other things. For instance, many of those who mock liberals as âsnowflakesâ get all bent out of shape by anything they perceive as attacking the current occupant of the White House, as a number of the comments on the âRat as presidentâ PBS strips clearly illustrate.
True story: On a certain auto racing website, there is a forum called âTrash or Be Trashedâ, which has a thread called " Post your most offensive MEME NSFW". As you can imagine, its filled with the most vile racist / misogynistic / anti-Liberal / anti-LBGT screeds you can image. However donât you dare post anything against whites / cops / or Trump, or there will be literal death threats.

A truly novel concept, Rat as SJW. And sure enough, he aims to be offended for fun and profit.

DoesnÂŽt rat know he needs to wear a pink beanie then? SJW people donÂŽt wear a top hat and monocle.

First you convince others that youâre offended, they feel they MUST take you seriously or else, then you cash in!

As a fan of Mr Peanut, I am offended by Ratâs cheap parody. I am also offended by Cartoon-Boy for creating this offensive comic strip.
If Rat wants to be Easily Offended Guy, he will have to take a number and stand in line. He does not stand out in the mob of SJWs.
