I bet those other clothes were jealous that Calvin only wore his trademark red striped shirt and black pants, and wanted a change of pace for once.

Later in the ’90’s, those would grow into the height of fashion.

I hate when that happens!

Nice outfit! I’ll bet all the girls will go gaga over it. Especially Susie Derkins.

Hey kid, Halloween was three weeks ago.

When I was a HS freshman, my favorite teacher (history) was also the frosh coach. I only played football, but since I liked him I volunteered to be the manager for the basketball team – then he told me I had wear a tie on game day just like the players. Well, maybe not just like….

My gameday outfit (now remember this was 1970): red-and-white-Coke-can-swirl pants, electric blue socks, a chartruese shirt, and a short, wide, plaid tie my dad wore in HS in the ‘40s. Stylin’ for sure!

He’s still in bed. How much news has he heard today? ;)

He’s dressed for a trip to Wal-Mart!

Long ago I knew a man who was both red-green and blue-orange color blind. His wife usually laid out clothes for him and we could sure tell when she didn’t!

The funny thing is…this is standard fashion for the kids these days.

Clothes with a mind of their own.

This explains my youngest’s taste for stripes and plaids.

If Mr. Watterson did this strip today, he could put him in a bro romper.

Plaid and striped clash. They just don’t go together. It either has to be one or the other.
