Bathtub? Really? Don’t these people know about paper plates? I seem to remember they had been invented at the time this comic strip was originally published in 1988.

Washing yourself and washing the dishes at the same time… what an interesting idea. Almost like Crocodile Dundee washing his clothes in the tub at the same time washing himself.

I would have thought a plastic bowl would work well.

No dishwasher in a newly remodelled kitchen?

Reminds me of Kramer making a salad while taking a shower after installing a garbage disposal in his tub.

Then she will get out of the bathtub covered in food particles and smelling of whatever the family had for dinner. :P

Speaking from a female child’s point of view (and from experience when young), sitting in a tub of dish washing liquid in the water is not a good idea. Use your imagination….

When my kitchen was being redone, I did the dishes in the bathtub for one day until I realized two things:

1) this was disgusting, and

2) I’d resemble the Hunchback of Notre Dame at the end of a week of this.

That’s so cute! Yes, Elizabeth, make washing dishes into water play.

Doing the dishes and getting a bath. Clever girl, learning how to multi-task.

The thought of washing dirty, grimy food stained dishes in a tub with me nekid made my skin crawl. Very gross!!!!
