Calvin is not Brahma; he’s Shiva.
I was surprised when I learned Bill Watterson didn’t like this strip. I find it fascinatingly dark.
If only they did this in Miss Wormwood’s class.
I’m afraid to even think about what he’ll grow up to be. Shudder!
His parents haven’t a Cthulhu about his thoughts….
Mom does not know how right she is.
Fortunately this is only a comic strip. Today’s “Non-Sequitur” strip is more inspiring.
So he grows up to be a politician or a televangelist.
If only they could read Calvin’s thoughts, they would shudder!
The great divide, i.e., what parents think children are thinking and what children actually are thinking.
Wouldn’t it be funny if, one day, we discover that Earth and its inhabitants were tossed into the intergalactic equivalent of a junkyard, and all the really worthwhile sentient beings are off living in some whole other universe.
The artwork of today’s strip is amazing! Really shows off Watterson’s talents.
And I don’t agree with the comments that this strip isn’t funny.
Calvin watches way too much TV.
American Gods by Neil Gaiman.
Ease up, god-dude, or you’ll be Thor tomorrow.
Calvin did all this?? Where is Hobbes?
Calvin’s already got a God Complex. I wonder if this is how Dr. Evil got his start, hmmm? (Pinkie finger to closed lips)
He’ll grow up to destroy the world. That’s what I think. Him and Stewie Griffin from Family Guy should go into partnership.

Poor critter in 6th frame has a terrible case of hemorrhoids. No wonder he’s ornery.
Sounds like the vengeful god of Judaism and Christianity.
“As flies to wanton boys, are we to the gods; they kill us for their sport.” Willie the Bard must have divined Calvin!
Yup…architect is exactly what’s on Calvin’s mind.
I’m thinking if Calvin could create a world parents wouldn’t exist.
Isn’t that technically Orion except calvinalized?
