I love how, in the first panel, the CN news logo on the lower right in the shape of a tea pot (I’m guessing it is a tea pot?) has some smoke coming out of it. I love all the details like these Georgia puts into the strip.
It does have the shape of a tea pot! Good eye! My kitty (and every kitty in my life) LOVED bed making – especially when new sheets went on! We called it “UndercoverKitty” when they played among the billowing sheets. We (Sis and I) always stop & do a little playing with our babies. It never gets old, even now we’re elderly cat ladies. Intrigues Hubby, too, but he’s afraid of the claws so he watches from afar. Wuss! Grab your fishing toy, Georgia! Drag it over the sheet while the Boys are under it! YeeHaw!
Sammy loves to help me change the bedsheets however it’s not an easy thing to do with a 16 pound Maine Coon x “helping”. I usually have to lift him off the bed several times to get new sheets on
We called it a “lump o ’kitty”. Dead Casper (in his pre-dead state) was a master at it. Sometimes he’d flatten himself so he was hard to see. Other times he’d curl up and look like a baseball mound. We just let him stay – he’d come out eventually.
My kitty loved helping me make my bed. I would put the bottom sheet down over her, tuck it in, and exclaim “My bed’s lumpy.” Dad would peak in and smile.
Ah yes, “felis inthewaius,” (close relative of “felis subpedalis.”) Changing the bedding with cats present is always an adventure. They also don’t understand our obsession with making it all flat and uninteresting. How can anyone get comfy on that?
As a kitten, and sometimes even now, 8-ball likes to catch toes under the covers (with him on top). Lots of fun as long as the covers are thick enough!
Absolutely love all the expressions. Of course, Puck has to get under the sheet—who knows what may be lurking under there?
I get the most complaints if I move while I’m in the bed. My kitty gets herself quite comfy, snuggled up against me, and any need of mine to move or turn over is met with indignant mewing.
my wife makes a game out of making the bed, even the blind one loves it. Believe it or not he does everything just like the other cats. You have to really watch it when you cover them with the sheets like Puck because they don’t have the same feel for their claws and you can get raked.

Mine see to like it when I change the bed – they get to run and hide and play under the sheets!

Love Lupin’s angry look, and Pucky’s CN news ma’am

That look on Lupin tells me he’s not going to take this laying down.

Our cat knows when I’m changing the sheets. He’ll jump on the cleared bedsheet and pounce on the wrinkles as I try to smooth them out.

My 2 just love helping me make the bed. Wouldn’t have it any other way.

Woman, just make the bed with the cats in it. They’ll leave it eventually.

On breakingcatnews.com the logo is a ball of yarn with the continents on it.

But not Antarctica because cats don’t live there.

Last panel is what we call a “furry bed lump” that quivers when touched.
BillJackson1 about 7 years ago
With my sister’s “furry bed lump” it didn’t quiver when touched, it attacked.

House rule here: don’t sit on a bed lump without checking first.
