Some of my most cherished memories are of my sister waking us up at three in the morning to open our gifts. I’m sure our parents never got more than an hour or two of sleep.

Kids wake up early worrying if they got what they wanted. Parents wake up early worrying if they got the right stuff. Both sides are usually surprised.

Believe it or not, mom and dad, one day you will long for the days when you could wake before dawn to watch your little one play with his toys.

Calvin and Hobbes may be surprised but I’m not. Merry Christmas everyone!

Those of us who have worked shifts like midnight to 8:00 AM know all about “technically morning”.

Merry Christmas, everybody!

The solution is to not put anything under the tree until 7:00. He can check all he wants, but Santa won’t have been there yet.

Got some fabulous presents today. But I didn’t get up early like Calvin and Hobbes did. I never do now.
