I’m thinking this is the start of the images to which a couple of people posted links yesterday. If so, I’m glad they are showing up here finally. Frank is like some guardian angel out of a Frank Capra movie. Perhaps that’s how he gained his name.

Was part of the series where Frank came to the rescue and comfort of a lonely child in a hospital during a thunderstorm. Was supposed to be posted during the Eclipse.

Berkeley’s artwork never ceases to amaze me. It’s Magnificent. Can’t say the same for others who try…and try…and try…and try…and try…Lord help them. Please!

A note or two about Berkeley Breathed. We were honored to have him with us in New Mexico for a while. He was evidently keeping company with a friend who was attending the University of New Mexico, in Albuquerque, at the time. This is where he almost killed himself while attempting to fly one of those ultralight contraptions and also where he got into ‘trouble’ with a Neighborhood Association in his oh-so very exclusive neighborhood of Sandia Heights! You see, he put several “plastic pink flamingoes” in his yard in an attempt to ‘lighten up’ the snooty neighborhood. The neighbors promptly informed that that was against “covenant rules” as they were not a ‘complementary color for the landscape (which consisted of various rocks and cactus, but very ’muted’ of course! Berkeley very promptly painted them all a very “eye-pleasing” beige! And so they stayed in his yard until his friend graduated and they left New Mexico – proving that there are pockets of ‘snottyness’ in the most laid-back areas.

A beautiful and affecting picture. Amazing artwork. So glad it was posted. Wish the picture of the tea party with the little girl had been posted, as well.

The most wonderful thing I think is the blue sky bow tie. It’s his synecdoche.

Has anyone noticed that the Eclipse over Frank looks like a halo? Perhaps he IS a Saint among us.
