I only know of Mr. Keen from “Jack Benny presents the Golden Age of Radio,” where the entire featured excerpt is “Mr Keen, Tracer of Lost Persons, is based on the novel ‘Mr. Keen.’” I always wished they’d included at least a piece of the show.
A repeat of my reply to Ignatz above: Bob and Ray fans: Each week, Robert Conrad almost always begins each episode of Weekend Radio with a Bob and Ray clip. Weekend Radio is on WCLV at 10 PM Saturday nights. Other times include 6 AM Saturday on WBAA, 6 PM Saturday on WRTI, 6 AM Sunday on KUAR, and 1 PM Sunday on WUOT (all times Eastern) (Internet streams available)
Also, Weekend Radio is currently running Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy the second year. Just finished episode 3 last weekend; episode 4 coming up next Saturday!
Here in the Nation’s Capitol area, we’ve been spoiled by decades of classic radio every Sunday night on WAMU 88.5 FM. The show began in 1964 as Recollections, and was later re-titled as The Big Broadcast when Ed Walker took over the hosting duties. The show is still on with a new host, and it’s 4 hours of the golden age of radio.

As a radiophile, I get the “Mr. Keen” reference.

Maybe he should call Johnny Dollar, “the private eye with the expensive bank account”.

Jor-El’s already got the best with Tricky Prickears on the job. He should be able to find Ruthless in no time.
