He finally realized the Nitrates are not coming back but Tracy is on the case. Let’s see if Public Domain’’s alibi works (not likely).

Does PD know that Silver used Femstock as an alias?

Public Domain, seemingly going about his normal business, can act as stunned as he wants and blame it all on Silver and Sprocket. With them no longer there, he can claim to have been scammed also.

That won’t fly in Tracy’s mind. When Tracy rang the doorbell at PD’s house and a thug like Ox with a Gouldian turtle neck sweater opens it, don’t you know what Tracy is thinking!

Bottom line: As of this moment, it is official: Both DT and PD are looking for the siblings. Things do NOT look good for bare feet!

I think that Public Domain will carry out setting up Silver as the “fall guy” that he mentioned to a fellow crook a few weeks back once Tracy leaves…

Will the Nitrates visit the zoo and have a reunion with Lena?

Bribery seems to be the only smart baddie in the bunch. The Nitrates must be auditioning for the next “Dumb & Dumber”……. all they have ever done since they were sprung is like they wanna get caught. Why they aren’t hundreds of miles away in someone’s Kia is beyond me. Moe, Larry and Shemp aren’t as stupid.

You’d think Domain would have used the Nitrates as cut-outs between him & the mark, instead of leaving a trail that goes directly back to his door.

Panel 2 is a classic statement of how to do comics! The low camera-angle perspective from behind the crooked Public, looking up at the looming figure of the Chief of Detectives is fraught with implications. And what is implied is not good for Domain. PD has best be very careful in how he answer’s Tracy’s question.

Meanwhile, the Nitrates are underground (literally) with their $250K take—a big increase over the zero they started out with from Domain. Can they avoid detection? If that were their goal, going back to the Lyric was a bad choice….
