Tax cuts do create jobs. They create a cycle where hiring increases for lobbyists and think-tank researchers, who in turn, get outgoing Congress persons lush appointments at the same firms ( NOT quid pro quo) to lobby for more tax cuts for the wealthy, which in turn….

How Republicans feel about the poor. A couple of years ago, I was having a discussion with a hardcore right-winger. I asked him what about the line in the Constitution about promoting the general welfare. His response was “Exactly. Promote the general welfare, not provide for it.” I guess he thought the government should be going, "Rah rah, sis boom bah. Go welfare!’

Trickle down doesn’t work because it CAN’T work. Like communism, its failure is built into its system. You’d think both would long since’ve been on the ash heap of history…….

The money river was irregular, but it usually flowed. Then the super rich built a big dam with a lake and it trickles down only when the dam overflows. The riverbed went dry and most of money in the lake banks leaks underground.

@Obviously, I was talking about trickle down, and not intelligent honest capitalism. (This leaves out crony capitalism and casino capitalism, as well.) Few things ever have actually been debunked so thoroughly as both trickle down and communism. Maybe I should’ve added, “I hope there was nobody here I haven’t offended.”

Patience. The self-starving ImpoverBots are nearly ready. Not only will they replace all the poor, hungry, homeless and ungrateful ducks, they can instantly sterilize any living competition they come across with just a wink of their x-ray eyes.

Maybe Ducky can sell off his under-feathers and use the cash to buy one of his own.

    (Trickle ‘down’ indeed!)

Lowering corporate tax rates helps the rich, and does nothing for the middle class. Lowering the tax on pass-through income hurts the middle class when other streams of revenue have to replace the money we used to get from the wealthy. Eliminating the Estate tax hurts the poor when programs are cut so the rich can keep more of their money and everyone else can rot in the streets, jobless and penniless. Don’t forget it is illegal to eat out of the dumpster for the wealthy and the poor alike.
