OK, I think I just realised what is being portrayed:
Junior and Tess both know that Tracy is missing. That’s why Junior is asking if he should bring the presents back in the house. And I think Jonahhex and Ken in Ohio have the right idea- Tess is keeping the faith for a good outcome.
Seventy-nine years ago Tess married another man She literally groveled to DT when she realized her mistake. Max Allen Collins wrote that that part of the storyline would be unacceptable today. Interesting though, I thought.
Telling Junior to leave the presents until Tracy returns is telling of Tess Trueheart Tracy’s true heart and confidence in her husband. She has true grit. Tracy will be back, and soon enough for a slightly delayed celebration of Christmas.
And is the Christmas tree with the Space Coupe ornament premonitory? Will Moon Governor discover the Tracycicle before Rifle Ruby and Rhett? Or simultaneously? Or is the ornament just a reminder that he is around? Interwoven themes make for a story tricky to predict….

Commenting on a post from the other day about Tracy’s first name, there were a couple of story arcs in which Tess called him Richard.

Speaking of which, I don’t recall Tess EVER referring to her husband as “Tracy,” especially to family.

Does Junior always call his mom “Tess”?
And is it my imagination, or does she look angry?

Maybe the space coupe ornament is foreshadowing something.

Where can I get a Space Coupe Christmas-tree ornament? I covet this as I have seldom coveted anything. . . .

I vaguely remember a Moon Coupe model… Aurora? AMT? Monogram?
And Google says it was Aurora.
