Pulling the plug a couple weeks early?

Does this mean the ‘Nancy’ strip is ending?

Sort of looks like signing off?

Guy, thank you for making Fritzi Ritz a vital part of the strip again. You made her young, vibrant, large and in charge!

According to Wikipedia:

“On January 2, 2018, Gilchrist announced that after 22 years, his last Nancy strip would be February 18, 2018 and that Fritzi would get married. Andrews and McMeel did not say what would happen after that.”

Wow. I had no idea that Nancy is coming to an end! In the last year some of my favorite strips have or will come to an end- Tina’s Groove, Eyebeam, Piranha Club, and now Nancy. This is a bummer.

Guy, you made Nancy look even better than the original, and I’ve loved your little “inserts” of Muppets and other characters along the way. Godspeed!

Thank you for all these years of dedication, love and beautiful art Guy. We will miss you badly. And hopefully this will not mark the end of the strip but just the beginning of a new chapter.

Nancy was my favorite way back in the 40’s! I was SO pleased when she (they all) re-appeared. Now once again. Goodbye to an old favorite. We will miss you. Many thanks Guy for the joy you brought for so long.

Thanks for the recent recap of the Nancy origins. I’ve been a reader since the 50s, and you did a great job, especially with Aunt Fritzi, the best looking gal in the comics since Daisy Mae!

Fritzi married to Phil might make Sluggo adoptable by them. Or bring back the trucker uncles to forestall that. In any case Guy has treated faith, family, veterans and country fairly and respectfully and should be remembered as the best bikini Fritzi cartoonist ever!
