Laxatives. Adult diapers. Extra-large condoms. No, wait; not that one.

The personal profile compiling computer and store’s providers know.

Let’s face it, if it’s a condition that needs a remedy found in the pharmacy, most of us would probably prefer the remedies not be on public display at the checkout.

Or you could go to a googoo store and have it track your every footstep and selection. You can checkout any time you want, but you can never leave.

I remember growing up with the statistic that the most-shoplifted item in the U.S. was Preparation H. The reason was, of course, that even kindly li’l ol’ law-abiding ladies couldn’t bear for anyone to know they were buying it, so even though they were good honest people, they became reckless hoodlums when it came to hemorrhoid medication.

You do not need a toenail fungus cream. Carmex works.

But it also works well when you shop at odd hours and don’t feel like waiting in line for the only cashier on duty.

What’s worse is if you use their profiling card, cashiers give you coupons when the products are on sale 3 months later.

Self service checkouts are awesome. No dealing with human beings.

Heaven.
