Actions speak louder than words. Once compromise is restored to government’s lexicon, I’ll start paying attention to what politicians have to say about unity.
Hi-ho, Steverino! Sir, do you honestly consider that a sincere offer of bi-partisanship? You do understand that that means he will have to actually make concessions and give up some control. How likely is that to happen? You have seen the guy. Are you capable of looking at him objectively? He’s, well, a moron that does not understand his role in government. The democrats are, only now, finally, starting to face the fact of what he is themselves. They made their DACA offer, after the shutdown, and look what it got them. As an earlier poster said, actions speak louder than words. As president it is up to him to act, as well as speak.
BIPARTISANSHIP? The republicans spent eight years trying to destroy Obama, and Trump one removing everything he had done . And NOW they want bipartisanship.
So after eight years of bald faced GOP obstructionism, stealing a Supreme Court seat, ending the filibuster for lifetime appointees to the Federal Courts, and ending the practice of respecting Blue Slips for Federal appointments, someone says the word “bipartisanship” and Democrats are supposed to smile and jump on board? Isn’t that a bit like beating your wife and then asking her if she wants to help you paint the living room? The hypocrisy here is knee deep and rising.
Pretty much what I expected from the left. Sheer unadulterated hatred. No solutions. No policy ideas. Just name calling. Prepare to lose many seats this November!
Idiot. It’s exactly the other way around. Or have you completely forgotten the previous 8 years. Not to mention the repubs are the majority party in CONGRESS.
“gee, golly, i don’t know why those darned democrats have to be such poopers, i mean, the republicans were soooo cooperative with the Obama administration.” (hurumph!)
Actually, Steve mis-characterized and “mis-represented” what Donnie had in his hand. Donnie and his kind are only able to ‘grow’ types of Phallaceae – commonly known as “Stinkhorn”, a fungus with a very suggestive shape, and attracting mainly flies and other carrion eaters due to their smell of rotting flesh. The flies are fooled into laying their eggs and flying off to pollinate other stinkhorns while the flies’ progeny, maggots, hatch and then starve to death as there is no rotting meat upon which to feed. Which also serves as an allegory for the current crop of Republicans and the ‘toadies’ who are ‘attracted’ to their cause.
Way to go, Steve, you ALMOST had a great cartoon there! Keep trying, you’ll get it right – eventually! Remember, even a broken watch is right twice a day!
Par for the political course. Remove the labels, bring in an unbiased observer unfamiliar with the situation and you couldn’t tell the two apart. It’s the same old story; just changing the names and dates. When a Democrat is elected it will be the Republicans time.

Let’s review the Rump’s and the repubs’ past attempts to extend an olive branch to the dems. Actions speak louder than words.

Trump’s idea of “down the middle” is a bit one-sided.

Trump SPEAKS of bipartisanship but his actions dispute that.

Bull. Trump wants everyone to obey, nothing more. That’s not an olive branch, that’s a gun.

Isn’t that the same olive branch he was using to hit them? Weed killer is a preventative measure against another Trump attack.
