OK this week a survey question that does’t need a spoiler option and most people should have an answer for. A number of us have talked about our cats and other pets, but here is a place to introduce everyone to your pets. All pets are welcome current or past. Currently I am a one pet family, Maxie over there in my avatar. She is 16 years old, but still my baby. She has slowed down a bit with the years, but still has a playful side. When she was younger I sometimes wondered if I got her when she was a bit too young. She would often suck on my clothes and kneed with her paws like she was trying to nurse. Over time she did it less and she hasn’t done it in a while now. In a way I miss it. Maybe I will tell more stories about her or former cats in the morning.
I wondered if Tabatha and Figero would still be in there workout outfits. In the original they weren’t, but there was a few months between their running of the cats and this strip originally. I wondered if Georgia would change it so it flowed better with the strips earlier this week.
When I was learning Spanish 50 years ago, the question would have been asked as “¿Que oyes?”. “¿Que escuchas?” meant “What are you listening to?”. But I understand that now oir and escuchar are pretty much interchangeable.
I have two close-to-identical black cats. They are Midnight, and Nagila. Both are cuddly, and never leave my side. They NEVER get into trouble, either. I wish I could post a photo of them, either here, or on some other venue.
Good morning and happy Caturday to all BCN orbsters and orbabies. We and Yum Yum watched Team Canada (men) get a bronze in hockey this morning. She is currently sleeping on top of the fireplace, after a fit of temper when a squirrel scampered across the windowsill.

Well it’s been a bad week here. I took Miscreant to the vet and it turns out his liver, gall bladder and pancreas aren’t doing too good. He’ll be 14 in a couple weeks and I had hoped he would be around for a couple more years at least. His appetite is good so everyone is getting lean protein (meat) all they want. The vet is going to try to work up some kind of treatment plan but I’m not sure how much can be done for him. He is 7lbs of skin and bones but he has been like that his whole life. Please send good thoughts his way he needs it.
My boys are very unhappy this morning. It snowed again overnight – another 10-15cm at least on top of the existing 5-10cm from yesterday morning – and as it’s warmed up close to 0C, the tree beside my house is dropping big clumps of snow onto the roof. It’s Lupin-loud thuds so my two are constantly jumping and trying to figure out where the thwumps are coming from.
And I swear the Juncos around here have a death wish. Again this morning one of them was on the back deck when I let the boys out. Dean got a hold of it before I could but I pried the poor thing out of his mouth and it flew off apparently unharmed. That’s the fourth time I’ve had to do that and there’s been another 3 I caught and let free before Dean got them (he’s faster than Sammy at hunting).
I had cats that would use the walls to bank their turns… literally 3 feet high paw prints on the walls. When they did their 2am crazies – they would have kept up with Elvis, Lupin and Puck any day. They jumped up on 8 foot high doors and sat up there like vultures… it was a little startling. My little cat, Mooch, was fast enough to catch flies. Found them in Sicily and brought them home to the States. They were a riot.

No need for translations on that final speech bubble.

Yeah, Lupin-even the ceiling cats can hear you. That’s loud.

vacuum, vacuum, vacuum-vacuum, sound of a cat pouncing a disc-shaped robotic vacuum.

Tabitha looks as if she’s a little concerned about the ruckus. Maybe she thinks she house is about to collapse?

My ferals land with a loud “thump” whenever they jump onto my deck box. Unlike Lupin, though, I’m pretty sure they know how loud it is.

I love Lupin’s arm position in panel one “I am?” and Puck’s little paw on Lupin’s other arm “Yep, you are.”

if the ceiling cats can feel and hear you, that must be some powerful seismic wave!

At least the People are taking the rumba-rumba-rumba-wump-wump, THWUMP, THWUMP! in stride.

Lupin’s laid back, apologetic ears in the first panel! Aww!

Well at least Lupin isn’t landing like a skipping stone – thwump, thwump, thwump … :)

Sweetheart is (apparently) doing better this morning.
I discovered that getting pills down her is no big deal.
I’ve said it before.
If you put gravy on it she would eat a rock.

Why would they leave the gate up when they are sleeping? It’s not like the baby will be moving around then.

Must have been going on for a while if they know which one is the loud one.

I just cannot get enough of the Spanish ceiling cats. As a speaker of the Spanish language, i feel like i can really relate to them.

The upstairs cats have a microphone labeled “GN,” presumably for “Gato Noticias.”

It’s called “sticking the landing”. Gee, these Winter Olympic fans don’t get it.

I love that Lupin just doesn’t realize that he’s landing so loudly cuz’ he’s deaf.
