Reminds me of the article I read this week where scientists fed graphene and carbon nano tubes to spiders, greatly increasing the strength of their keratin (exo-skeleton and mandibles) and the tensile strength of their silk by up to 11 times. They apparently plan to make millions of them!
Reminds me of the 50s sci-fi movie THEM, where atomic radiation from testing turned ants into creatures the size of travel trailers that really hated humans.
