I only have one neck, why should I have more than one tie?

Why put a noose around your own neck?

Working for a company that doesn’t seem to have a dress code, with a baby at home, and an occasional sci fi movie for a big night out….

where does Roy go that he needs more than one tie?

He and Kathy have always been sort of ‘rumpled casual’, and refreshingly supportive of each other.

I hope losing weight won’t make her image-conscious or critical. I’ve seen that happen.

Decades ago, I had really hoped the tie would’ve been phased out by now.

I always wear a clip-on tie. Got into that habit in the service. If you wear a real tie you can be yanked around or even strangled by it. With a clip on, they grab it and all they get is punched for their troubles.

I did the math and it is true! Also the person that it is true for only has one suit and he usually wears it for only one occasion. That is why we call it “the funeral suit”.

Isn’t this a (repeated) slimmed down version of http://www.gocomics.com/working-daze/2010/09/22 ?

I’ve got 1 computer and over 100 ties. 99% of them Jerry Garcia’s. I may have to wear them for work but I’ll be damned if I wear a boring striped or argyle.

I try to avoid wearing ties myself. Particularly as my slender neck of youth is long gone, and wearing one now makes me look like Yogi Bear. I still have a few, and remember how to tie them. I never learned to tie a bowtie. If I have to wear one because I’m in a play and it’s for my character, it’s either clip-on, or find someone who knows how to do it.

I own two ties (and had to watch a youtube video a few years back on how to tie a tie), one of those I have never worn. But on the other hand I only own one computer, unless you count smartphone, tablet, PS4 (2), Xbox One, WiiU, PS3 (2), Xbox 360 (4) as computers.

I’m surprised Roy doesn’t wear bow ties… as a certain travelling doctor says, bow ties are cool.

Get a bolo tie. No knots. Just slip it over your head and slide the decoration up to where ever you want!

I have more ties than computers…. but I don’t remember the last time I wore one. I think they’re hanging in a closet behind some old computers.

I use my computers way more than any of the dozens of ties I’ve collected over the years – and I love it!

I like the blue Pin-stripe behind and ‘tween Roy and Kathy. I have one like that and forgot to change shoes and wore my Converse ’Sneaks’. Looked like David Tennant. (Then I wore it again to a Halloween party saying I was Doctor Who.)
