I used to think making old jokes was really funny until I realized I was close to qualifying to have them told about me. Suddenly they weren’t so funny anymore.
My mom was born before there were trains that used diesel engines. My children were born before there were laser printers and bi-directional printer controllers.
My daughter asked her grandmother if there were watches when she was little. I said yes, but they were actually grandfather clocks strapped to people’s wrists.
A child’s perspective. When I was 5 years old in 1960, my grandmother told me about the time she had moved to Missouri from Texas when she was a child. Very innocently, I asked her if she came here in a covered wagon. Ouch!

When I consider that my grandfather was born before there were airplanes, and my dad’s first home had no electricity, USB 1.0 doesn’t sound so bad.
